Your choice: 11 Doritos for 3 pts or ____ for 3 pts
I was thinking about what they promote in meetings: eat more filling foods. I started thinking about Doritos (and chips in general) and I looked them up in eTools. What I found is that 11 Doritos = 3 pts. That got me thinking; 11 Doritos as a snack wouldn't even put a dent in my hunger...what can I get for 3 points as far as whole foods/filling foods go? Here is a brief list of what I've eaten recently for 3 pts or less that has been satisfying:
--- garden salad, 3 pts: 3 cups romaine lettuce, 1/2 c broccoli, 1/2 c red peppers, 6 grape tomatoes, 1/4 c seasoned croutons and 2 tablespoons of Ken's Steak House Lite Caesar dressing.
--- homemade chicken noodle soup, 3 pt
--- .5 oz spiced almonds, 2 pts
--- 1 large smoothie, 3 pts
--- oatmeal with fresh blueberries, 3 pts
--- cottage cheese with berries and honey, 2 pts
--- 3 cups of fruit salad, 3 pts
How about you? What can you think of that is more filling than 11 measly Doritos?

I *LOVE* anything salty, and love popcorn. I get confused as to how to measure it, so I try to just buy the single-sized bags...I've been getting the Orrville Redenbaucher Natural (they are full-fat but tasty and not too bad for points). Wow, popcorn and a candy bar for 3 pts? Maybe I will switch to the 100 cal bags!

Ooh... I, too, enjoy banana pudding with Cool Whip Free and a little bit of Nilla wafers! Today I had a WW chocolate muffin warmed up and cut in half with a little scoop of Cool Whip Free on each half. Very satistying. And since it was cut in half, it felt like more bang for my 3 point buck! Oh, another favorite is a banana and some strawberries cut up with a little sugar substitute sprinkled on with a dollop of (get this...) Cool Whip Free. Apparently, I'm a fan of the Cool Whip Free!

Points system isn't quite the same here, but in the 3 points or under range, I'd have any of the following. Air-popped homemade popcorn, 0% fat greek yoghurt with fruit and a little honey, 3 points worth of nuts, a small bowl of muesli (3 points plus milk from my milk allowance, so really more) or porridge. I like Doritos but they were one of my 'binge' foods so I'm steering clear.
