Default Manwich??

Hi gals, are we full yet..???..gobble...gobble...??? LOL Hope
everyone had a satisfying Turkey Day. Now I need to be more "Point '
concious. Today I am having Manwich Sloppy Joes but I can never
figure points for them??? I use Lite burger buns (1point) but do not
know what a low point portion would be? Can someone help me figure
this out...??? Please thanks in advance Ladybugplus
PS...I like putting a slice 25 american cheese on it too....which
would be 1 more point. I just need a portion size and points for the
meat sauce (Manwich) again Thanks

I just replied to you over at Dotti's. To do this we'd need much more info than you supplied.

The best way to do it is to figure the points for the sauce, the points for the meat. Total it up. Measure out how much the entire thing is and divide by the number of servings you want. Then you have your points for it and just add your bread and cheese.

Beef points are easy. If it is 89% or fatter it is 2 points per ounce cooked and 90% and leaner it is 1 points per ounce cooked.

Ok Then This is how I figured it (in case anyone else needs to know)

1 lb 85% lean ground beef
1 15.5 oz Manwich Sloppy Joes Sauce
1/2 c chopped onions
7 Lite Hamburger Buns

sautee the onions, brown the beef and add the Manwich sauce in large skillet. Simmer till heated thru. scoop 1/7 of mix and put on 1 of the burger buns. This will be about 2 oz of meat, 1/4 c sauce w/onions which equals 5 points. Add the 1 point Lite Bun makes it 6 WW Points. If you add 1 slice of Kraft 2% American cheese it will then be 7 ww points.
That sounds about right TY Kellie for your help here..... ladybugplus

Your 1 pound of 85% lean meat cooks up to about 12 ounces so that is 12 points. I don't know the nutritional info for the Manwich.
