Hi everyone.

Well I lost 1# at WI tonight. Yea!

Jen that pool sure sounds good. It was 102 here yesterday. This time of year about the only outdoor activity worth doing would involve water.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Just got back from my meeting. I can't believe it. I lost 1.2 pounds, cheesecake and all. Just proves that you can lose weight and have your cake too, right? LOL! Now only another 2.3 lbs. to my 10 percent. It is so exciting.

Myra,

Congratulations on your loss You're doing great. You shouldn't feel guilty about the cake Myra because you saved up your points just like you're supposed to (happy belated birthday BTW). I also know how you feel about food obsessed parents. Mine are coming next Friday for 2 1/2 weeks. I can't seem to keep them out of the grocery store when they are here. They buy all this stuff we don't want or need to eat and then leave it here when they go home. My mom also feels obliged to cook while visiting and cooking light is an alien concept. I guess I will just have to be very careful with my portions.

Joyce,

Congrats on your loss too . I am jealous. I Weighed in yesterday and had no change. But that is not too suprising considering I had the 3# loss last week.

Jen,

I loved your pool joke. I have a funny pool story too. Wed evening my family went to the club and as I was getting into the pool I slipped. I landed right on my butt. Everyone saw me (except the lifeguard who should have been watching). Anyway, I now have a tremendous bruise on my butt that looks just like a smiley face . Steve and I couldn't stop laughing when we saw it.
It still hurts but I can't help but when I think about what it looks like.

Everybody,

We have been having very hot weather here (upper 90s), so I haven't been doing as much exercise this week. I will however be going rollerskating with Ellen tomorrow. I love to skate but I just hope that I don't land on my butt again. ouch!!

Take care,

Congrats Myra on the loss! I'm happy for you.

Janie - Skating sounds like fun. I have not skated in years but used to love it. It's been hot here too 100-102 degrees the last few days YUK!

Hope everyone is having a great day. My daughter had off work today so we went to New Braunfels and did some shopping.

Hello to everyone Have a great evening.

Janie,
How do I say it......hope your butt's ok! Seriously, I know that can be painful. Not to mention embarrassing. In 1986, the year after the Bears won the SuperBowl, we decided to go bowling on super bowl Sunday rather than watch the game since the Bears weren't in it. I fell on the lane, right on my butt, and fractured my tailbone. I ended up at the hospital, was off work. It was too funny, in retrospect, since I have so much padding I couldn't believe that would happen
Hope you can get through the food during your folks' visit. Just tell them you're concentrating on their company, you're too excited to eat!

Joyce, hope you enjoy the shopping

Hi to everyone!

The boys are here, next week will be my last week of watching them. and

later!

Hi everyone. We sure are slow this weekend. I hope the weather is getting a little cooler for everyone!
Janie,
How was the skating? Hope you didn't fall and turn that happy face on your butt into a frown. Sounds like fun. I haven't skated in years.

I lost 1# for 9 lbs. since re-commiting-(48# altogether)
Bruce lost 1#
Brittany lost 1/2# - soccer twice /wk.
Brandon lost 1# - 10# total He has football 5 days/wk.
Bradley lost 1/2# Soccer 3 days/wk.

Friday we went to our annual end of summer lunch
at a non fast food restaurant and it came complete with dessert. Here is a
success for Brandon.
A few hours after lunch he went to a friends house (hasn't seen him since
school was out) and his mom asked me when I picked him up, "Brandon has
thinned out. What has he been doing?" I told her and she said "Well, I
made homemade cookies and I offered him some and he said "no thank you,
I'm not hungry" That was when she realized he thinned out. Her son, who
is 11, needs to lose a little and she asked what I was doing and I told
her
and she might just look into it for her and him.

Terri,

Congratulations, Your family is doing wonderfully! It is so nice when people notice, I bet your son was glowing!

girls,

Skating was great. I was one of the drivers for the camp field trip and I think I did more skating than the kids. I was also the only mom to skate! The kids thought that was really cool.

My butt feels much better but I have to tell you the story gets funnier. It doesn't look like a smiley face any more. It looks like someone with giant lips kissed my a**.

I was a little naughty this weekend. The Yankees were in town playing the Oakland A's. I am still a Yankee fan, even though I haven't lived near the Big Apple since 1985. Unfortunately they lost all three games . It is very hard to stay in your points range with Ball PArk food, but I did the best I could. I drank only bottled water, even though I really wanted a beer with my hot dog. Also you can't go to a baseball game without eating cracker jacks

Have a great Monday everyone!

Hugs,

JanieD

JanieD,

Thanks so much. I am really proud of Brandon.
ROFLMAO!!!!! That is soooo funny about the lips on your butt!
Congrats on being the COOL MOM!!!! That is so true about ball park food. We went to see the Cincinnati Reds in their stadium and then to Pittsburgh to see the Pirates in their new stadium. The food is awesome. When your team is losing (Which the Pirates did- big surprise there) you tend to eat more food.
I love the Yankees too. Have a great day and an op day!
