Hi turtles - I guess everyone is keeping busy since we have been quiet lately.
Hope you are all getting into the Christmas spirit, shopping & decorating.

My parties have started - had a birthday dinner last night, office dinner tonight & Friday my ladies social dinner. But trying to somewhat behave & make good choices. If I don't love it - I am not eating it.
I was down .75# last week at Tops, so was happy with that.

All - chime in when you can, lets all enjoy our holidays!

Hey BAndit, you're doing great losing weight during the holidays. You are so social and I love that you have an active busy life. Good for you for only eating foods you love.

I'm trying to do the same thing since there are plenty of challenges around.
We went to a birthday party at a restaurant on Sat. The party girl was surprised and soooooooooooooooo pleased, She smiled and was radiant all night. I had a bite of birthday cake, and passed up bread for probably the first time in my life at a restaurant! Lol. WAs proud of myself. I'm awfully busy with getting ready for Christmas, but I keep pacing myself and it's working out okay. At my WI at WW's today I lost another 2# and am so thrilled. I'm down about 62# in total and 31# since July. Oh my goodness....I never thought I could be successful and this feels good.

For those of you interested, WW came up with a new plan. It counts sugar and saturated fats as less healthy foods and charges way more points for them then in the past. I had my first "new" meeting today. Some of the gals were annoyed that their favorite foods went up so high in points, but I honestly think that's why they weren't losing before. Some of the leanest meats have gone down in points and all fruit is still 0 points. THEy call the new program smart points. it looks likea better way to lose weight.

Dee, how are you doing? Is your laptop fixed?
Cherry, how about you?
Bandit, keep on keepin on. I'll write again soon.
Amby, are you around? We miss you.

Hi Turtles,
I've been gone a bit because dh had an illness. I've tried staying as close to OP as possible.
Cherry, good to see you here.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you! We'll have company over the holidays and then we'll celebrate our 50 th anniversary, so that means plenty of good times.

All the best to all of you!

Glad to see you posting again, Dee. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you also!
I'm doing well with food choices. I did a lot of cooking ahead and my Christmas dinner is in the freezer. yay! There will be 12 of us for Christmas. All the kids and grandkids will be here. I'm looking forward to some Christmas cheer!

All the best to all of you. We can do this. Love the dancing broccoli!

MERRY Christmas girls
I haven't been posting because my eye retina gel has torn. There is no treatment for it until it becomes severe enough for surgery or it detaches from my eye, making me go blind

There is a small chance that the tear will seal by itself & I'll be able to see, keeping my vision. But as a older adult my chances are low & I'm ashamed to admit I'm the victim of domestic violence getting slapped in my head many times.

All I want & need for Christmas is my eye retina to be healed. If any of you have a few seconds to add me to your daily prayers, please pray for my eyes for my retina gel tear to seal itself, so I don't go blind or need surgery.

I hope that everyone receives the weight loss they want before 2016 begins

With much Luv & many Blessings to you'all Dee

Morning turtles

Dee - sorry to hear about your eye, that is awful. Will say some extra prayers for you, stay positive & hopefully all will be OK.

Last Thurs was our Tops Christmas party and I was down 1.25# so was extremely happy with that with all the potlucks & dinners out I have been to.
I am sure walking the dog has really helped.

Judy - glad to hear you are organized for the holidays, planning ahead is key to stay on top of things.

Cherry - nice to see you popping in when you can.

All - have a Merry Christmas with your family & friends and enjoy all the festivities and celebrations.

Sending all of you a big Christmas hug & wish you all the best.

Stay safe & healthy

Gail

Dee, sending healing vibes and prayers that your retina heals itself. It can happen and I pray it does.

Bandit, you are amazing to lose weight during this time. Weigh to go!

To all the Turtles, peace and love and merriment now and forever.
I'll start a new thread as soon as I can. Family coming in late tonight and then we should have lots of fun.
All the best to all of you.
