Hi turtles - been busy up here lately with work, trailer, house etc etc plus
had a bad cold which just getting over. On the plus side - last week at Tops I received a 6 week "No Gain" star for my certificate & have dropped 8# since PRD rally, so pleased with that.

All- hope you are all doing well. We have a long weekend coming up and making it extra long by adding another day & heading up to dd bf cottage,
so looking forward to that.

Post when you can - we all get extra busy but I love seeing the tips & motivational comments.

All - hope the scale is being good to you!

Hi turtles - long weekend was great, beautiful weather at the cottage & got in some walks & of course, swimming with being right on the water. We had a fire each night as well, so that was fun. Stayed on track most of the time but did have some drinks & snacks as well. Hoping maybe to be down abit tomorrow.
Judy - hope you are back on track. You can do it - I know you can.

All - lets do something good for ourselves today, whether it be planning out a healthy meal, going for a walk or drinking some extra water.

Baby steps!

Glad you had a good weekend.
Things are looking up here. My dd is settling in with what she needs to do.
I have finally gotten a handle on the good eating and healthy diet that I need. Hopefully I'll see a good weight loss soon.

Good luck to all the Turtles. I think of you often and wish you well

Hi turtles - been quiet too long here once again.
I ended up winning the PRD challenge us ladies set with a 8# loss.
Didn't make the 10# but still the challenge gave me extra focus.
I went camping 2 weeks ago (in tents) and that was fun but not as comfy
as my trailer. Food was a challenge but had a good time.
We are heading into another long weekend & can't believe summer is winding down. Weather wise was not the best summer but not complaining since before long the snow & freezing rain will be back.

All - hope you are all having a great summer & check in when you can.

Miss all the posts & inspiration!

Congrats Bandit for that great weight loss!

Yes, we have a long weekend coming up. I'll be going to my great niece's Sweet Sixteen party. Lots of company this summer. It flew by. Best wishes to all the turtles.

Bandit, so glad you keep on writing. I'm doing the best I can under some pretty tough circumstances. One thing that was fun was my dh and I took our kids and grandkids to Hershey Park for a few days. It was good to have the kids together for an enjoyable time. Walking so much kept my weight in check. Now that the fall is coming, my dh and I plan to walk the boardwalk again. It's one and one half miles and so pleasant at the water.

Best of all wishes for all the Turtles who check in once in awhile. Write a line or two to let us know how you're doing.

Best luck!

Hi turtles - hope you are all doing well. Still nice weather up here & actually for us on the hot side, which is nice.
We had ribfest here last weekend which was delicious & of course, too much food. Made a zucchini pie recipe which turned out good as well.

All - I think we should have a "Fall Challenge" and hopefully motivate us to check in, stay on track and have this extra weight "Fall Off"

Anyone interested?

I am interested in a "fall Challenge." What do you have in mind? I need to do something to keep me on track for more than 2 days at a time!

Let us know.
We could even have a weekly WI if that helps the Turtles.

Okay, I'll start:
For the Fall Challenge which will run from today to October 31st. let's see how much weight we can lose.

These are my aims:
1. Exercise 3X/week
2. Use Simple Start foods for best weight loss
3. Aim to lose 6# in this time frame.

What are your goals? Let's do this!!!!

Hi Judy - your list looks good.

My aims are:
1. Exercise 2x/week plus at least one big walk at night.
2. Get back to Somersize basics (and still count my ww points)
3. Lose 6 lbs within the 6 week mark (sounds doable)
4. Keep this list handy for me to see!

All - I hope you all join us in our Fall Challenge.

When we are struggling we need to know we are not alone & inspire each other!

Hi Turtles,
Join in no matter where you are. We'd love to hear from you!

Bandit, love your goals. For some reason I keep on ignoring all I know about weight loss and continue to gain weight. Knowing you'll do this until Halloween for our first fall challenge is a huge help. Today has been really good and right now I've got a chicken/pineapple/soy sauce dish simmering away. I'm making quinoa with it since it's on Simple Start. It should be good. I will postpone eating it until six o'clock so I won't be too hungry later in the evening.

Good luck to everyone. Chime in when you can.

Morning turtles:

Past weekend I was camping (yes, in a tent) with a group of 12. So good times & didn't do too bad foodwise. Got in a huge walk Sat afternoon & didn't go overboard with snacks/drinks. So overall pretty good.

Weather is starting to cool down up here but we still have times when it is quite hot (both weekend afternoons were gorgeous) Almost time to shut down my trailer for the season.

Having a craving for some chili, so tonight after bowling I am planning on making a big pot of that to have on hand for this week. Looking forward to that.

All - hope you had a great weekend!

Hi Turtles,
I did a turnaround. I am doing Simple Start and that's working out pretty well. On days where I see I'll be out and probably dining out, I go back to points plus. Using both seems to work and I've knocked off those top two pounds. The hardest part, to state the obvious, is to keep going.

Good to hear from you , Bandit, and the fun you had camping. Weigh to go!

Talk soon.

Hi turtles

Judy - good for you for dropping those lbs!

Going to movies tonight, so that should be fun. I like to have popcorn of course but will have some chili before going & then will be content with a small bag.
This week they are saying it will be sunny all week, so really looking forward to being outside when I can be. I need to start packing up the trailer & my yard at home always needs work, so planning on lots of yardwork this weekend.

All - hope you are all staying on track.

Judy - keep up the good work & chime in when you can!

Hi Turtles,
Bandit, so good hearing from you. Enjoy your time at the trailer and at home. All that work really is good exercise and keeps us from eating at the same time!!

I don't know why it's clicking now, but the Simple Start is very doable for me. When I "slip" I count it in as my points plus for the day and keep on going..............being very careful with what else I eat that day. It seems to be working. I'll weigh myself again soon.

Bandit, I'm so glad you're doing this. We've been Internet buddies for so long and I know we can each get to goal. We both are aiming for about the same weight and it would be great to do that this year!!! Good luck.

Turtles, Bandit and I have something good going here. Chime in when you can!
