Hello out there to all my "ole" online friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful, peaceful, joyful Christmas Day with friends and family! I too have been MIA for about a month. I couldn't seem to keep up with the posts because I was also keeping up with the ever-changing election news. That was quite a civics lesson! Then Christmas just jumped up on me and seemed to take every spare minute I had. I really am glad it's over and I can get back in my day-to-day routine. We did enjoy a wonderful day at my dad's and step-mother's with family, and a great Christmas Eve here with all the children. I have definitely been eating tooooo much, though.

I see a few more "feisty, sexy" friends have joined this group. "Hello to all of you." It will take me awhile to get acquainted with everyone. I've skimmed the posts, but didn't read in detail. I did see where one of the new friends is from Louisiana. Please tell me more. I live in Lafayette, Marsha. Where do you live?

Well, I do hope to get back here regularly again. Heaven knows, after the first of the year I'll need to get back on WW. I see alot of you gals are still steadily dropping. Great job!
Lily: Thanks loads for the Christmas greetings. That was so nice of you to remember me.

Will check back tomorrow.
Josie

JOSIE Hi there, my old cyber friend sure is nice "seeing" you. I too have eaten so much the last couple of days and have decided that's it, time for me to get control again. At my last WW weigh in which was a week ago today I was 149.6 and this morning I stood on the scale and I see I have "Blossomed" to 153#. GEEZ, I don't ever lose 3# in one week but I sure didn't seem to have any problem gaining them. So, I thought if I put my sad tale down here in "black and white" so to speak, I would do something about getting the 3# off before they become permanent residents. Right now I am thinking of them as just visiting. LOL We had a wonderful happy Christmas.
Hi DONNA glad to "see" you back. I hope all you gals had a lovely holiday. I'll come back later on in the day. See you all later.

Hi Josie & Donna! We missed you, but glad you are back and look forward to hearing from you.

We had a really nice Christmas, and I too have a temporary resident hanging onto me. He weighs 3 1/2 lbs. I am like Slavika, cannot lose 3 1/2 lbs in a week so how can I gain it? YIKES However, I am getting myself under control, my Turkey Soup is simmering as I speak.

Have a nice Boxing Day ladies... I will come back later ~ Trudy.

Lily and Maria..I noticed the smilies you posted. I must have been sleeping http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//sleep.gif because I never knew we had some new ones to choose from. I'm going to love http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//love.gif these.

It has been a quiet day here, and I am glad. Seems like every gift I gave fits and was the right kind, nothing has to go back.
Tomorrow it will be a regular Wed., I will go to the gym and try to work off all the treats.
....see you tomorrow. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif

G'day all,
It is 4.15 on Wednesday afternoon.
I had another very busy day yesterday but it was very enjoyable, a quite one today
DH and I went to the polant nursery and I bought 5 camillias, not quite the right time of the year but they were marked down by $15.00, I can never resist a bargain and not only that when I plant something I want it almost full grown . They look fantastic so hopefully they will survive the very hot weather that has been forecast for the next few days.
Lily thank you for the christmas card and yes Trudy the new smilies are great aren't they.
One more function to worry about and that will be the end of it. I am having a dinner party New Year's Eve. This is the first year that I have found it all a bit too much and intend to make it a bit quiter next year
Keep happy,
Cheers
Maria

Merry Belated Christmas Everyone! http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//spinning.gif
Welcome to all the new girls on this site.
It is a cold sunny morning here.
My dh left for mexico early this morning. I wish I was going with him. He will be back late saturday night, then off to Chec republic a week later. I am not sure how long he will be gone to Chec.
This is not good timing for business trips. My angio gram will be Jan. 5. Our daughter has been in the hospital for a week now and we do not expect her home for at least two more weeks. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//crying.gif
MY STRESS LEVEL IS AT THE HIGH END http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//insane.gif

Our friend SLAVIKA'S key board is down. I am sure she is reading the posts but unable to reply.
Now let's see...what can we say about her... http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//umm.gif

Hi Friends,
Well, I spent at least an hour last night reading old posts. I had to skip alot, but am I right -- Maria do you live in Australia?? How interesting. You mentioned it was very hot, so you must be on the other side of the world. It's cold and rainy here in South Louisiana. Not weather to go shopping for after-Christmas sales in. I'm keeping one of my step grandkids today and trying to get my house back in some order, plus trying to get some typing done.

My bathroom remodeling is just about finished. Had the bathtub reglazed, counter tops, lavatory, faucets, and light fixtures changed. I ripped off the wallpaper and painted and bordered. Just have cabinets to paint. It's coming along, but taking a long time to complete.

Slavika: Bet it's killing you not to be able to "talk" to us today. Hope you get a new keyboard soon.

Dee: How are you feeling? Last I remember you had had surgery and was recuperating from that. Sound like your plate is full with daughter ill and husband gone. Hang in there! "This too shall pass."

Cal: You are such an inspiration!! 95 pounds gone!! You must need new clothes every other month! Isn't that fun!

Lela: How did your semester go? Will you be going back in Jan.?

Maria: Is your daughter finished her schooling? My oldest daughter is an RN, and my 20-yr-old is in nursing school. Just finished her first semester of clinicals.

Hi to everyone else -- Lily, Geri, Trudy, Karen, Donna, Glenda and all the new friends I can't remember names of yet. I'm going to check the bios to see if anyone has posted theirs.

Later,
Josie
(Can't locate the bio page. Guess it got deleted since we hadn't used it in a while.)

HI EVERYBODY hee hee look who's back. Oh you guys it sure doesn't pay to try and show off. My DH bought me a new "Scanner" for the computer. WELL.....I think to myself, I don't need my Son to hook it up for me I can certainly do this myself after "ALL" the experience I have had with computer issues. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//insane.gif
"ALAS" LILY "unbeknownst" (do you like that word) to me the cord from my printer came out of the back of the computer. When I slid the computer back into the side "thingme" technical term, I "squished" the end of the cord that goes into the computer from the keyboard. "ALAS" the keyboard would not work. So I had to call my Son after all to come and see what I did. He told me the keyboard was "toast" and went to a computer place he deals at and they gave me a "loaner" keyboard. My Son connected the loaner with a note saying it was just a "temporary" one and I have not had a chance to talk to him since I was out all day. I sure am happy to have a working keyboard....YIKES I had to watch TV last night. Shortly, DH and I are going to a friend's place for a pool party. She (of course in this climate) has an indoor pool. Everybody goes on a sleigh ride (including my kids) and then back to her place for pizza and swimming. DH had to go to the office today so that's why I'm still home. Had my day out today with my friend for lunch and shopping (not too much shopping). Hi DEE nice "seeing" you here. I sure hope you are resting today. Ok, I better get going, I'll come back and see if anything happened while I was out. Bye for now.

Hi Ladies...
I have been looking for a pair of earings I hid...can't find them. We went to Dee's Anniversary party on Nov 24, when we got home in the evening I was still packing for our trip (you know the Bus Trip From ****). We had a break in 3 yrs ago and I still feel uneasy about leaving things laying around, so I hid my favorite earings. I have taken apart 2 closets and I just don't know where I could have put them. My head is http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//spinning.gif. It is more than a Senior Moment...more like a Senior Month. Any one else ever do things like this?
Maria..you will have to take some pictures of your garden, it sounds so nice.
Dee...so sorry about your daughter. You keep the faith.
Josie..you need a lot of patience when remodeling http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//insane.gif, but it is worth the effort.
Slavika..I don't think that there is ever a dull moment in your life http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif.
Lily..did you have any energy at work today? I worked out and I was really dragging, can't believe how weary I was...these holidays are hard. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//dizzy.gif (I http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//love.gif these smilies)

Good Night.... http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//sleep.gif

Hi Everybody We had a great time this evening. My grandchildren really enjoyed themselves playing in the the pool with the other kids. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif I tried to go easy "food wise" and had two actually quite small pieces of pizza but then I blew it by having a a great big wonderful butter tart. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//insane.gif BROTHER
DH and I are going out to a friends place for dinner on Friday night and then on New Year's Eve we have reservations at a restaurant for 9:00PM with the same couple who's home we were at tonight. We will be spending the night at their place as the restaurant and their home are about 20 miles out of town. We have spent many a New Year's Eve with this couple and have been friends with them for 26 years. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//love.gif They leave for Maui shortly after New Years so they will be there when we get there in Februay.
So those two dinners out are my last I think and then Weight Watchers on January 2nd. Boy I better smarten up and "get with the program". Time for me to go to bed.
Night all http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//sleep.gif

Trudy: I just took the time to look up your post about your "Bus Trip from ****." This sounds like one of those only-in-the-movies experiences! You poor souls. They surely better junk and bury that vehicle they called a BUS! Bet you and DH sure do appreciate your personal vehicle and warm house!
Glad you enjoyed Vegas anyway.

Josie

Where did you find "the bus trip from ****"? I have decided that there is no way I am going to have the time to read all the posts I missed. I will try to catch up later as I ride my bike at the gym, but can't do it now.

Dee, how are you doing? I hope you are taking care of yourself.

Santa Claus was better to me than I deserve. He obviously didn't hear how bad I am or refused to believe it.

Lily, when you go to our site please change my weight. I am ashamed to admit how much I weigh, but it was 165 the other day. My body fat has increased from 27% to 33%. That is what 2 months of eating whatever you darn well please with lots of emphasis on candy and cookies will do. Starting with the new year I am going back on program and getting back where I should be. I don't think I will go to WW. I will follow 123 though. I have all the books and stuff and the blue points machine. I am not sure I want to learn a new plan. 123 works for me if I follow it. In fact, I like being able to have so much when you eat high fiber foods. I am going to depend on you all to help me. I can't do it myself. This fall has been disastrous for me.

Margot is an inspiration to me. She has lost so much this year and I haven't done a thing.

Hope you all have a Happy New Year. I have to go downstairs and finish cooking for this brood of mine.

I wrote and thought I sent a great message the other day. When I logged in today it wasn't there. I messed up somehow. Oh well, you all will never know what you missed.
