Thursday Chatters for April...

Hello all. Sorry once again for not posting often. I do find when I join in I seem to feel loads better.

Things here are good. We're in the middle of standardized testing at school and on top of that I'm doing hospital homebound with one student. I'm also on the last week of my current class so I'm trying to get everything in order. I have 3 more after this one and I'm thinking about continuing on to get my Specialist's degree I don't know though.

Today was a low point for me. I jumped on the scales and I'm the heaviest I have ever been. So with that said I joined WW's Online and tomorrow is my start day. No more playing games. This weight is coming off. Well I suppose I should run for now. I have loads of homework to catch up on.

As for me, it's testing time for us. My kids are done but I have to keep them in the room and busy for the week. My in laws are coming up, so I'm taking Friday off. I'm also taking next Friday off for pre-op tests. Figure I might as well do it during the day and take off.

I haven't heard anything about a new job but it's still a little early for them to be hiring. Hopefully I will know something SOON!!!!!!!

Susan, I guess you missed my post from yesterday.
Here it is again.
Wow. boy did it rain here overnight!!! Some areas got 12 inches in less than 2 hours. Here, it was over the curb and over the first step to our house. Now, that is bad! Larry finally made it in to work but it took him over an hour to get there.
David stayed home. It always gets really deep near his apartment.

And, I thought your surgery was in June. I didn't think anyone could do the pre-op stuff this early.

I knew you had rain but was wondering if you were getting more. We have had it since Tuesday. Nothing like y'all did but it has been pouring tonight. We need it!!!

Susan, Sorry about that. Sometimes I miss things in posts and just "assumed" you missed mine.
No, we're through with it, thankfully. Our bayous are still full.

Guess what---I get to fast in the morning. Whopee! I go for my annual exam and blood work. Can't wait--not!

Tina, I do miss things too. Lucky you on fasting. Hopefully your bloodwork is early !! Then go treat yourself.

Tina, my weight is still the same. No loss, no gain. I guess that's good, right? I know with the Emmaus Walk this weekend I'll have to be careful because they always put so much food in front of us. I usually stay out of the candy though, so that's a good thing.

12 inches of rain is alot!!!!!!!! Guess you knew that, right?

Dori, I'm like you about not coming and posting like I should. I too feel better when I do. We will get this weight off. Good for you for joining WW online!

Must be testing everywhere. My friend sent an email saying they were testing this week, grades are due, they are having meetings for new math textbooks, and a couple other things going on, and all of them this week. That's nuts!

I am so pooed tonight. I know I need to head to bed. I don't have anything going on tomorrow till I have to be at the church at 5:00. I won't be home till Sunday evening. I do plan to go to the hospital to see my aunt sometime tomorrow. Tim is going to Lauren's for the weekend, Maurice is going to the doggy hotel. lol

Tim applied for a job at the Arby's where he worked in high school and last summer. One of the managers called and asked if he could come in and talk today. The 2 managers sat down with him and offered him an assistant manager's position! They are willing to work around his school and rescue squad schedules, so he said yes. He's excited about having a paycheck again.

Well, I made it through another year's physical. This doctor is so laid back that I like him a lot. He said my incision/scar looked good and it should lose it's redness in a year or two! Yikes!!!

Susan, did you get a whole lot of rain? How is Pat doing? Has he regained any more feeling in his fingers? I hope so. Larry is resigned to the fact that he'll never regain all his feeling. Don't worry, you will hear from a new job in no time.

Tammy, that is so great about Tim!!!!!!! I forgot you were doing the Walk this weekend. I hope it goes well. Yes, to staying out of all that yummy food.

Maureen, you've got to post, girl. I know you are busy with work.

Dori, we are all in this together. I lost but have regained some since my surgery. I've got to start walking more now. Give me a push!

Hi Ladies! The candy business is slowing down. It is always quiet in the summer months. We have laid off several of our ladies till fall! However, that makes my job really hard. I can't just come and go and I only have internet service in my office in my base store, with the lay offs, I have to work everywhere! Yap Yap Yap!!!!

I'm also at my highest weight since 1993!!!!!! Urgh! I thought I was off to a good start and then my owner brought the donuts back into our stores. She grew up in the bakery. Our company, Barkus, was known for over 50 years for their bakerys. About 13 years ago, my owner took on the Chocolate line and Hallmark and her cousin stayed in the bakery. Her cousin passed away back in Nov. so she is re-introducing the baked goods ...........

I was going to pull out the old vcr tapes and dvds and get some exercise in today............but...................

Well, I've got laundry to do, so I better scoot. Have a great night girls!

Hi! me again! So after my post above I decided to switch the laundry and work out! So I did an old vhs tape of the 20 minute blast off with Richard Simmons!!!! i am so overweight and outta shape that it was hard! (shame on me!!!!)

Well...........just wanted to share!
