Guys, I haven't been here in forever and have not really had time to read the board for awhile. I know that Alan is home which is just great. And that Florida is getting some cold weather. We have two cold days and then one that isn't bad. I wish it would continues just like this, but next week is supposed to be a bit messy.

I am completely ready for Christmas. House looks pretty and I just haven't wrapped everything yet. My last day of work is Dec. 19th and we don't go back to work until January 5th! Yea!

I went shopping last week with daughter-in-law and GGD and baby Colton. We had so much fun. That is why I am ready - the girls pointed me in the right directions.

Trudy, I know you are having issues with your house. It must be a beautiful home from Maria's description. And Karen, I hope your hearing is improving. A lady at work kids me about going to get hearing aids, and I just ignore her. I can "hear" if I see your lips move.

Slavika, you have such wonderful grandchildren! Me too! Aren't we lucky? I know we are all proud of our grandkids. My oldest will be getting back from basic training on Dec. 17th. We weren't totally sure he would make it. He will be in the National Guard. He is one of those children who is trying to find himself and is so immature.

Well have a nice weekend! I am not reading newspapers or watching the news and I do feel better. Just have to remember how wonderful life is and how blessed we are!

Hello. It's been years since I've posted although I've checked in from time to time. I'll be 63 in January and having put back all the weight I had lost plus more, I really need to get serious. I am diabetic although have managed it for 6 years without meds but if I don't get back into gear that won't be the case. I wondered if it would be okay to join you all.

I've been reading what's been said about diet food and find that really interesting. When I've lost weight, it has been with WW. I don't have the money to join but follow the flex points with info from a friend who goes to the meetings. Most of the time, I would eat a diet meal for lunch and dinner but after awhile, I can't face them anymore. I am a picky eater so no matter how much variety the diet meals offer, there are only limited choices I eat. I love my carbs and that is just the worst thing for me. I think I will try to do it this time using more whole foods. I use Splenda and Sweet 'N Low too much so maybe I'd be better off using sugar but modify the quantity I usually want.
Thanks for listening.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a healthy new year.
I can't believe that I still don't have a tree. Probably won't get around to it this year. School is out thank goodness. Between power outages and lockdowns I am ready for some r&r.
Thanks for the tip about the soap. I will try it. Both of us have restless legs and when we get them at the same time so I will have to a couple of bars. Wonder how anyone thought of that idea.
Have to go do some wrapping. I am so behind this year.

Hello Everybody,

I haven't been here in a while. Been really busy and now DD, her hubby and DGC are here until next Sunday. Lots going on baking with the DGD etc. I just wanted to pop in and say I hope everyone is doing well and has a very Merry Christmas.

Maria - Will you DH get home for Christmas? Did you get the website going for your picky young man who kept changing his mind? I know you did a great job.

painter 5 - The soap thing really works. I read it in a doctor's article years agao and tried it. I have since heard some doctors say it doesn't or can't work scientifically. However others say it can. All I can say is I've been doing it for about 5 years now and it works for me.

cjd - I'm 65 and just restarted WW pretty much for the same reasons as you. I do it at home and joined online to get the new program which is the combination of the best of Core and Flex. Good luck.

I'll try to get back here more often after Christmas after everyone goes back home. Again y'all have a Merry Christmas and Happy Hannuka to those who start celebrating this event today.
