Ok LADIES - The "break" is over......WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU ALL???????? Hey, I NEED you people.....don't you understand that? So does Bren and Candice......Ally, Jen, Michelle....come on now.....we all need eachother. I realize we all have lives of our own but some of you have been away for a loooooong, long time and it would be wonderful to "see" you here. Please drop in and give us a line or two or three or four and let us know how you're doing.

We just got back from Billy's Elem. School. They had a magician/comedian who sawed the principal in half. Well, not really but I'd bet anything half of the parents were wishing he would...<sly grin>.....arent' I just awful?????
So...we're having a VERY informal dinner at 9pm at night. We were too rushed before we left at 6:45 and I knew the kids would eat better a little later. Anyway, it was fun but it was so nice to get home and slip into my jammies. Now to drive over to the barn and tuck in Missy. Hope u all had a good day. Do yourselves a favor....turn the T.V. off every now and then and listen to music or listen to nothing. Dont let these terrorists get to you. I mean, YES.....they HAVE gotten to us all and I know it's not over by any means....but to keep our sanity....we have to clear our heads every now and then. So please, please, please. Take my advice and walk away from that T.V. now and then. It helped me more than I thought it would.
Sweet dreams my friends..
Hugs,

OK OK OK I'm here I'm here! Mostly just lurking! I have to go to Rhode Island this weekend to pick up my computer. My BIL was upgrading it for me. So I have only access at work and it gets hectic here sometimes and I don't get to post much!

OMG BRENDA!! You look wonderful! I can't believe the difference from the last picture I saw of you way way back when you were still in Maine! You go girl! You are inspiration!!

I had a 5.2 lb loss last week. I went to the gym 3 times and did 45 minutes on the treadmill and 30 minutes in the pool. I know from the last time that exercise is the key...it comes off so much quicker when you are moving! The past month the weight loss was moving so slow and I was getting discouraged! But not no more...I am going to the gym mon wed and fridays every week!

Ok I am at work and gotta run...you all have a great day...and come out and post so our PJ won't be so lonely!

Hi Everyone,

PJ, you said it girl. Shut those tv's off even for a little while. I have watched nothing but Cnn morning and night since Sept 11th, it was consuming and depressing me. The last couple days I have changed that. I do still watch a little cnn in the morning when I get ready for work and a little at night, just enough to keep up on things. But I am now back to watching some of my favorite shows too. I can't let the terrorists rule my life.

Michell, so glad to see you around. Wow, you sure made me feel good. Thanks for the compliment, you and Pj are great. Yes, my body has changed alot in the right direction but it is going to change more soon, real below...

major decision for me

well, I guess it is definitely going to happen and soon so I am ready to share it with you all. I have decided to have breast reduction surgery. I have always wanted it done but it costs almost $7,000.00, through work I now have insurance and it will pay for the whole thing. I got a call today for the surgery. I am to pick a date, nov 8, nov 15 or dec 6. I am leaning towards nov 15 and have to call them tomorrow to reserve the surgery time. Wish me luck. I am very scared

Love
Bren

Brenda - you DO look good
I know I posted to you elsewhere about the surgery but now wanted to tell you of another friend(I'd forgotten) that had the surgery and she said too that she should have done it years ago.

Good luck

~~Jill~~

Do you suffer from back pain and all that I'd mentioned that my friend suffered with?

Way to go Brenda

Just think....you'll probably lose several pounds too!
I know this surgery is going to make you so much more comfortable. It's GOT to be hard with the bra straps. I'm a 40D and have to buy the bras with the wide padded straps. So I know how you feel. The only suggestion I would offer you is to make it as soon as possible because you've got Thanksgiving and X-mas coming up and you'll be sore. Just a suggestion. I'm excited for you but don't be scared. It's only a normal reaction, I understand that part.....but I'm sure you'll be in good hands. Just let them take care of you and when you get out......let everybody else take care of you and your kids. I really wish you well with this surgery and I just know in my heart that it IS the right thing for you. You lucky thing.......you!!!!!! Maybe if I lose the other 50 lbs. I have to go.....my boobs will get smaller?????!!!!!! Oh God! They would probably look like goats udders. I have my children to thank for that. Ah yes, the pleasures of breast feeding. NOT!!!!!! I USED to be a 36C and hope to return there some day.
Ok.....nuf 'bout boobs!

Hang in there and don't sweat it. You'll be fine.

As for me being fine on WW.....I've been a good girl. I even got my water in today. Just finished an italian ice and then I'm climbing into bed with a nice big cup of tea. I took a loooong shower tonight and can't get the chill out of my bones. It's humid outside and I guess that when I came home from riding ..... since I was very sweaty and hot and walked into the air-conditioning...that pretty much did it. So now I'm wearing FLANNEL PJ'S!!!!! LOL............IN FLORIDA!

Ok you guys....I'll "see" ya later.....have a good, good night.
Sweet dreams my friends.

Pj, thanks for the words of encouragement, I really need it. I posted it here because I knew I would get the support I need. I am going to go with November 15 because it is a thursday and I will take thurs and fri off from work and go back mon-wed and then I will have thurs through sunday off for thanksgiving, I will need the time off I think. I am going to call and let them know tomorrow. I am scared but will definitely do it. I wear a 36DD right now and it is a bit too small. After the surgery I should be a small to medium C depending on how it goes, they have to take a certain ammount to have the surgery pay for it. He said you get a lift with it too so that will be awesome. He actually used the word perky. Sounds good to me.

Love Ya
Bren

Default Booobs???

Perky lifted boobs? I am jealous! Like PJ's mine would look like goats udders!! Not just from breast feeding but from having this weight and the gravity thing!

Brenda...you will do fine..don't be scared! And as mentioned above...let everyone take care of you!

OK so where is everyone???

I gotta get back to work...you all need to come out and post!

Default Here I am!

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since I've posted. Just the regular day-in, day-out stuff keeping me from having time to post or even read much, but I did get in occasionally to read the posts.

My FIL goes Friday for his biopsy to make his diagnosis "official." They know this IS pancreatic cancer, but they have to do the biopsy to get the "proof" for medical records and insurance. He's starting some treatment also, but don't know how far he's going to go with it just yet. He's doing as well as can be expected; some good days, some bad. So, we are all just supporting him and letting him know we're there for him if he needs us.

PJ--
You are a real trooper! Thanks for keeping us all going! Even if we all don't post, it's good to see you still here, plugging away, inspiring, and motivating others. Thanks for being a good friend. I had to laugh at your wearing flannel jammies! I've been wearing them some of these nights here for weeks!! As much as I hate being cold, those flannel jammies sure are comfy AND comforting! Ah!

Brenda--
You look mah-velous, dahling! Sounds like you made the right decision for yourself re: the surgery. I don't think many people understand the discomfort a lady with large breasts endures. All they (especially men! ) say are "Wow!" while you're saying "ouch!" My boobs have actually shrunk some since losing weight but I don't think any amount of loss is going to "perk" these babies back up.

Candice--
Love the pic of you and your pumpkin...and of your flowers. Hang in there, girl!

Michelle and Jen and all you other owlies--
Hello! I hope all is well with you!

I have to go now. I'm making flyers for our table for a fund raiser our hospital is participating in on Sunday for the Sept 11th Fund. One of the vet's I work with's sister is the neighbor of a pilot of one of the planes that hit the WTC. We are doing an "ask the vet" table and a raffle for some vet stuff.

Take care everyone! I'll check back in soon! (promise!)

hi owls i KNOW i've been AWOL

glad to hear everyone's doing fine. i'm doing pretty good. me and dh went for ckups today and our doctor is sending me to a specialist for ?tmj? is that right. the left side of my jaw has been a little stiff and sore and my ear has bothered me plus i've had some awful headaches he said that the tmj would cause all of that so i'm going to a specialist on nov. 9 to see about that.

daddy is doing fair he's come down w/a cold and momma took him to the dr today and they're treating him for broncitis to keep it from going to pheumonia. other than that he's been doing really good.

dh lost 2lbs this week the knot head. i don't remember if i told you or not but he promised me (on his own i didn't ask) that he'd cut back on his drinking when i weighed what he did. he weighed 197 then now he's at 195 and i'm down too (drum roll please) 198.6 i still can't believe that when i see my sig. line under my name.

i like 4 lbs until i have a grand total of 100lbs gone.

my points dropped yesterday too, so next week i should catch up w/him because i've always had good losses when they dropped before. plus tom had arrived this past saturday and i still lost 1.4

well gotta go my FIL's birthday is today and we're going to see him.

talk to you owls later.

Default Boobs? How bout Hooters!!LOL

Sorry I couldn't resist, LOL

Yes, I am excited about the surgery. Just scared that I won't wake up from the anastesia(sp?) It will be nice to have done and I am sure I will be very happy with it. There are risks and I pray to god that I don't have any of them I will be sore for 4-6 weeks but it is worth it.

Jennielou, I suffer from tmj on occasion. I am told that it is from clenching my jaw when I sleep. sometimes when I wake up my jaw is clenched so tight that it hurts. My pain goes up the side of my face through my jaw, it feels like a very thin hot pain, like a nerve or something.

Alley-Oop,
Sorry about your FIL, that is so sad and hard to deal with. I am glad he has you to help him through it.

PJ, you are a riot, I am ROTFLMAO. Seriously, thanks for being there for me. It is nice to have you in my corner.

Michelle, so glad to see you on the boards. Thanks for the words of encouragement, it all helps sooooo much. Hope everything is going well for you.

Well gotta boogie,

Later
Bren

Default ~Good Morning~

Candice[ - That really WAS a beautiful site. I sent it on to others on my e-mail list. Thanks for posting it. LOVE your pumpkins. We'll be going to pick ours out today. Billy is home sick with a fever, conjested cough and stuffy nose and Jackie is on her way to her usual hour ritual of fluffing her hair and changing her clothes a million times with her friend Vicki in her room. They don't have to be at school until 8:50am but you know how loooong it takes for 13 yr. olds to get ready.
I'll be back later, just wanted to stop in and say hello and wish you all a good start on this week.
See ya later,

Candice - I just HAD to post the two emails you sent me tonight on my "Quotes page"........they were soooooo good. Thanks a million and keep 'em comin.

I'm getting another Standardbred. A gelding. No.......... my husband doesn't know yet. I'm going to look at him this weekend at the parade of horses in Ocala, Florida. I'll post a picture as soon as it is sent. Supposedly very soon (as in a few minutes). He's only been "off the track" for three weeks which makes him "bomb proof".

On another note....I had Billy home again today. Still throwing up until this afternoon but I think it was mostly from gagging on phlem. He now knows how to "spit" properly in the toilet.
We took his bunkbed down and he's very happy to sleep in his bed now. He's also FINALLY got THREE loose teeth. Time to pull out those "tooth fairy" bags I made. <grin>

I just finished having chicken strips from Publix (grocery store) with some macaroni salad. I also had two pecan sandie cookies this afternoon and two Corona beers on the patio a little while ago. NOW.....to figure out what my points were. AAAAAGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

Here's hoping you all have a great evening........
