You should check out your local co-op for Flax milk! I buy mine in the refrigerated section and it's delicious! I find the almond milk good but sometimes congeals a bit in cereal and other things, but the flax milk has the texture of milk without being too water. Also really low cal! 35 calories for a cup or something like that!

Years ago before my health kick I weened myself off of 2% cow's milk. I've tried all kinds of alternative milks but I find I like vanilla rice milk and hazelnut milk the best of them all. For me almond isn't bad, but when I eat it with cereals it sometimes leave a weird taste in my mouth.

What I like most about all of these milks is that they don't go bad after one week. Also when they go on sale I can buy a lot and store them in the pantry!

I use almond milk everyday, I have never heard that it may cause kidney stones. Where did that information come from ?
