Default New here! question about extracts!

So im really trying to adopt the whole foods (no processed junk!) lifestyle and was wondering how extracts...are these considered processed foods? (sorry if this is a silly question)

You mean like vanilla extract? I'm not sure but I'm not giving it up! LOL!

I'd stay away from imitation vanillas if I could. 1. because they don't taste very good and 2. they're made from synthetics. I personally use a vanilla extract that is made from Madagascar vanilla beans and alcohol. Try to stay away from extracts with "additives or natural flavorings" because it's more than likely corn syrup, caramel coloring, etc..

Yes, yes, with what ^ said.. always buy real extracts. Quality is sooo much better.
