Do you have a favorite
antioxidant-containing food? What foods do you eat to get your anti-oxidants?
|
Don't think I could pick one! Some I use often and really enjoy:
blueberries, coffee, tea, dark chocolate, beans, cinnamon, nuts |
I dont personally have a favorite one, but mabey this will help you pick your own. UDSA nutritionsits found in a study that the foods below were the top 20 antioxidant rich foods (this is old info, but true nontheless)
1 Small red beans 2 Wild blueberries 3 Red kidney beans 4 Pinto beans 5 Blueberries 6 Cranberries 7 Artichoke hearts 8 Blackberries 9 Dried prunes 10 Raspberries 11 Strawberries 12 Red delicious apple 13 Granny Smith apple 14 Pecans 15 Sweet cherries 16 Black plum 17 Russet potato 18 Black beans 19 Plum 20 Gala apple They also recommend trying to eat as wide a variety of them as possible since all foods have different antioxidants that effect the body in different ways. One easy tip - if you have a day where you can't make time to eat right grab a glass of vegetable juice to at least get some of your daily antioxidants hope that helps! |
