I bought blue agave nectar today to try for the first time. I love the taste, I don't know how else to describe it but to me, it tastes like "perfect sugar" (it is not sugar, btw, for anyone who hasn't heard of it)
I've heard good things about it so I was excited to buy it, but I just googled it and came upon this article:

What do you guys think? What have you heard about it? I've heard it doesn't spike blood sugar levels, which is great. One of the points in the article above is that because agave nectar is actually very expensive, it is sometimes spiked with corn syrup before exported to the States (and perhaps eventually Canada? - where I am). I hope this would be listed on the ingredients label. I'm not as concerned with calories as I am with what corn syrup would do physiologically. I'd like to know if I'm consuming something like corn syrup. Which makes me wonder, do you think ingredients listings are usually accurate and truthful?
