Mary, glad to see that you are still out there. I know I have been in this state myself before, sometimes it seems like all this stuff just needs to take a back seat for a bit. Not like you are giving up, just taking time to regroup. I hope that when you are ready to return, you will...and know that we will be here waiting.

"I'd like to thank the academy...and all my chickies who prodded me along the way"

LOL. I think I'm still loopy from all the aerobic exercise. Not enough oxygen, then too much oxygen...hee hee. So yeah, did it. 40 pounds gone, never to return. Yes! 50 is going to be the big one...and I think doable in March, for sure. Spring will be coming...Renee, Mel & Mary will thaw out...Linda & I will hit full blown summer about that same time. Thinking positive, and moving full steam ahead.

Thank you, Mom2! Thank you! I'm glad I could make your morning. Sure made mine, standing there, looking, and 40.0...it was like, ok, you can have 40, but not an extra ounce more. so there! pbbbblt. Little does this body know, but it is going to lose more insulation before I'm done. I've got you, my pretties...and your little fat cells, too!

Wow, I'm in a bizarre place today!

Linda, when you go to those sessions, can you share the good news with us, so we can benefit?

Renee, that 100- well, that's my 2007 goal. There's still more of me to lose once that's off. But I'll take those accolades, cause no matter how much there is, it's ALWAYS work! And look at you with your working out! THAT's the inspiration! Kick butt, girlfriend!

Just a quickie for tonight. Did 1 mile WATP, then broke for dinner, so it wouldn't be too late. Going back now to do the rest of the DVD, since it isn't a school night tonight.

Working on my March plan of attack, and hoping that I get a little more Roid-free time next week.

Now...Weekend!

good morning !

Well, it is official, I think. I am sick with a cold or something. My throat is sore and my sinuses are swollen. Blah! Yesterday was a day of rest, and I am still hoping to get some exercise done this weekend, since I took yesterday off--but if I don't feeel any better. I know it ain't gonna happen. Food is still going well. No change on the scale this week. I didn't really expect any, as TOM is here. I have to go to a memorial service today for my uncle (not too close to him at all). He had lived in Costa Rica for many years and that side of my family (father's side) is extremely estranged. But I am gong to go with my brother, who flew in from NJ last night to pay my respects to his children--which I supposed fall into the same estranged trap as myself. I am happy to see my brother under any circumstances, so I am strangely looking forward to this afternoon. Not sure what I will wear. The black pants I bought for my grandmothers funeral in October are too big right now. That is a good thing, but it leaves me with not much choice. I will figure something out.

Jenn, I love the new "spring" avatar! I actually awoke this morning to the sound of chirping birds outside the window. That made me really happy. I haven't heard birds in the morning for months. A sure sign spring is on the way! Only, it's 18 degrees outside today! LOL I hope their little feathers don't get all frozen!

Mel, we didn't get much snow at all from the last clipper that clipped by. Whew! Take care this weekend and no headaches from peddaling!

Linda, talk with you soon. Hope you and furball are getting some cuddle time in. Sox woke me up this morning, rubbing her face against mine! LOL Blech! Fur in my mouth! LOL

Jenn is right....weekend!

Hello, ladies! It's a beautiful day here today, with enough wind to create a nice breeze through the house. Soon hubby will start his sauce, and I'll help make meatballs. We're also going to make stuffed shells, and I'm taking pen & paper & logging everything that goes into it, and the total yield, so I can set up pre-packaged servings and know exactly what the damage is. I'm thinking that 3 shells, and a meatball equal to 1/4 cup of meat, plus 1/4 cup of sauce should be a reasonable serving, and I can see where those #s are before we start to package them up. I also have a date with the bike later on, once the kitchen work is done, and cleaned up. Yesterday, I was walking outside for 30 minutes, and then did the 2 mile Walk Slim Fast Start

Renee- sorry to hear that you're sick. Feel better soon! Did you get hit with more snow? I saw it mentioned on the news, just in passing, that there was another storm. Now, those birdies are frozen birdcicles! Spring can't come too soon for you & Mel, so at least I can provide some springtime for you in the meantime.

Mel- Mother2!!! Ouch! Hope that all the gas & bloating is gone. Now, where's that prod? Don't make me tell your OTHER daughter Jen that she needs to ride your buns, too. Get pedaling...you'll get here faster, and get out of that cold weather.

Linda- hope that you are just super busy will good stuff, and just can't pull yourself away to post. We miss you. And need the swift kick in the tushie, too.

Have a great rest of the weekend. I'll let you know how the shells turn out, and how "healthy" I can get them, with skim ricotta, and mozzarella, and 93% lean ground beef for the meatballs.

I FORGOT TO COME HERE AFTER A BARRAGE OF PHONECALLS. THE SHOULDER HAS MAGICALLY HEALED ....IT MUST HAVE BEEN A PINCHED NERVE WHEN I STRETCHED UPON WAKING AND WHEN I LAY DOWN IN BED THAT NIGHT IT DISAPPEARED AND YESTERDAY IT NEVER CAME BACK. FREAKY THING. WE HAD SOME SNOW BUT NOT EVEN 3-4 INCHES I THINK FROM THE LOOKS OF IT.
I WILL PEDAL TODAY.....SLOWLY THOUGH!!!

RENEE~ HOPE YOU ARE FEELING BETTER TOO BY NOW. WE CAN HUG EACH OTHE FOR OUR SINUS ISSUES!!
ALSO HOPE YOU ARE NOT SNOWED IN YET AGAIN!!

JENN~ TRYING TO KEEP UP WITH YOU IS A CHORE! IT'S EXERCISE IN ITSELF!!! THE SHELLS AND MEATBALLS SOUND LIKE A GOOD PORTION SIZE TO ME. ON NS THEY GIVE YOU 3 RAVIOLIS. AND THEY ARE PRETTY BIG. ENJOY!! MY MOUTH IS WATERING!! WHO IS THE BETTER COOK???? I WON'T TELL!!!

TO LINDA!!! AND TO MY WVF!!! JUST IN CASE SHE IS LURKING!

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!!

hello all!

Still yucky with this cold. Weekend was nice and it was great (as always) to spend some time with my brother. I wasn't too careful about what I ate, but I did watch portion sizes somewhat, which is ALWAYS better than eating the whole thing. My fridge is full of take home boxes of half eaten meals!

The memorial service on Saturday was quite nice, and I am glad I decided to go. My mother said, "you can only hope that you are remembered for the good things you accomplished while on this earth..." and she is right. I did find another pair of black pants to wear, one size smaller, but it seems that I am mostly between a 16 and a 14 pant size anyway--so it is not like I went down a size, just really depends on the brand, I guess.

Sunday was a fun day, despite this nasty cold. We went to the movies and saw "Bridge to Teribithia" with the kids and my brother. It was pretty good. And then came home and finally watched "Little Miss Sunshine" which I have been trying to rent for weeks! It was very good. Had lunch at Ruby Tuesdays, and only ate 1/2 my meal.

Today, I don't have any exercsie to report. Just not feeling up to it. But I have been very good with food. I know I need to do both though. I am hoping to feel better tomorrow. Going to go to the pc conference dance festival tonite for 2 of my kids. I hope it won't be too long. DD started the school thing an hour early today. Blah! Don't like missing sleep, esp. when I don't feel good.

Well, I am getiting the phone call from dd to pick her up from school. So i'd better run. Everyone have a great day!

Default Bob has gone insane

Bob hates me. and the feeling is mutual!!! My shoulders are singing right now and NOT in a good way. My own fault for trying the man pushups this morning. As I posted in my journal, Bob has lost his mind. Not only is he trying to get me to do man pushups, but he wants me to do them with my feet on a chair and my hands on the floor! No WAY. I cannot even do a full man pushup yet, let alone the crazy ones he is asking for. The only exercises I have trouble with are those that involve chest and shoulders. I can even do the ab stuff, for heavens sake!! Grumble grumble!

Good meal Jen. as long as you add LOTS of veggies. :P No I haven't forgotten that I am the veggie cop, did you?

Hi Mel, I got your shoulder owies. I don't want them either, but glad you are feeling better

Renee, glad food is going well. That is really tough to deal with when you are sick so good for you!

Now I get to go home in 10 minutes, so I am packing up!!

RENEE I CANNOT BELIEVE ANOTHER STORM!! OURS WAS SNOWSLOSH!! JUST WET AND SLUSHY LAST NIGHT. WEIRD LIKE OLD MAN WINTER JUST CANNOT GET IT GOING RIGHT THIS YEAR, MAYBE HE NEEDS VIAGRA!!! HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER TODAY!!

LINDA~ BOB SEEMS TO BE VERY DEMANDING!!! DOES HE EXPECT YOU TO PERFORM THESE FEATS OF STRENGTH WHILE HE LIES UNDERNEATH? IT WOULDN'T BE SO BAD THEN IF THERE WAS SOME SATISFACTION AT THE END OF THE SESSION!
HOPE THE SHOULDERS ARE BETTER!!!

I AM GOING TO PEDAL BUT AT THE FIRST SIGN OF PAIN I WILL STOP. THE SCIATICA IS BOTHERING ME ON BOTH SIDES. WOKE ME UP LAST NIGH. SOMEHOW I GOT UNCOVERED AND THE MUSCLES WERE TOO COLD AND CLAMPED DOWN ON BOTH NERVES!! OUCH!!! WISH I COULD WEAR PAIN PATCHES DAY AND NIGHT. IOT WOULD SURE SOLVE MY PROBLEMS!!
HAPPY TUESDAY!!
to JENN!!!

Hey there!

Feeling a bit better today, thanks to my trusty friend, sudaphed! I did a few minutes on the treadmill this morning, not as much as I should have, but what I had time for. Went into school today to help ds and his class with a clay project for art. Bud vases! Can't wait to see how they look once they are all fired and painted. They came out so nice. Children are so creative.

Still good on food. Yesterday, I ended up not eating all the points for the day. Just wasn't all that hungry--and I know it is because of the cold meds. It is really so rare that I am not hungry and do not overeat.

Linda, that kind of pushup is impossible! LOL (well, I am sure someone can do it....) Does bob think that we are men? Because I almost think you need the upper body strength of Sly Stalone to pull off that move. I wish they gave you some modified versions of some of these exercises to do. I wonder if Bob could lift my fat toosh off the ground, because by doing that type of pushup, I figure, for myself, it would be like benching 200+ pounds, and I know that ain't happin! Ever. Hope the shoulders recover from the brutality.

Mel, so sorry your nerve is acting up. Take care of yourself.

Jenn

Ok, a pile of laundry awaits my attention. Take care!

How did I miss an entry yesterday? Bizarre! Well, this one is just going to be a quickie post. Got a big pile of stuff on the desk, but have good news. Down another 2.8 pounds. Yippie! I've been making sure that I get at least 4 servings of fruits/veggies per day, Linda, but weekends are when it's more difficult. I also find that on weekends, I have a harder time hitting my target calorie range, because there's not a lot of structure. So that will be my goal for March- to add more structure to weekends to getting my water in, and fruits and veggies those days. Today, so far, I've got 4 servings of fruit in, and 1 veggie. Dinner will include more veggies, so I'm covered there.

Ok- exercise was good Saturday, and Monday, and will be today. I took an unplanned break when we were still in the kitchen at 7pm on Sunday night, and finishing dinner at 8pm. Tonight is going to be more WATP, and the bike. I'm getting better with the 2 mile Fast Walk.

Missed everyone- I can't believe I never got here yesterday! :hugs:!
