I'm still sick and darned sick of being sick!

I have a little *happy* to share, though. Regardless of what the scale was telling me (with TOM and all of the cold medicine I've been feeding my body) this morning I accidentally put on my size 10 Levi's and they FIT!!!! I meant to grab my size 12s but I had left them downstairs in the laundry room and picked up the 10s by mistake. So I have gone from a size 14 to a size 10 in 6 weeks! YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!! And I mean they REALLY FIT! I was able to wear them to take my daughter to school and I would still be wearing them now, but I feel like crap so I just put on some sweats. They aren't too tight or anything - just right!

If I felt better I'd be doing my happy dance!!! Someone do it for me, would you?

Buffalo - I'm guessing you're a lot taller than me. I'm only 5' 1", so a size 10 is still a pretty big size for me, but it's another step in the right direction!!!

If this can't make me feel better, nothing will.

I just saw your goal weight. I am 5'6". I think we may have had this conversation before. I would LOVE to be a 12. I feel ok in a 14. I want to be a comfy 12. Currently 16 but happy to be there from 20.

It's so funny how people differ in their jean size. I'm currently 211 and a size 16/18.
When I did WW before and got down to 170lbs, I was a 14 in some stores, and a 10/12 in others, but I felt great at that weight...I'm 5'8 and I could shop anywhere, wore a bathing suit proudly.
Even in High School, at 145lbs I was about a 10/12.
I think as we get older, we just carry it differently...I know now, I carry alot more in my chest. Peoples height, body structure, etc play a huge part...which is why we can't be so obsessed with our "size" and just be happy with how we look, feel and how healthy we are making ourselves in this life change.

I was a size 10 most of high school - of course, we wore tight pants back then, so I was always squeezing into 7's. I occasionally could squeeeze into a size 5. Mostly I wore Levi size 30 or 32, but occasional a 28. Weird thing is I always considered myself fat, even when I wasn't. But then, if you are in high school, you wear a size 7, but have a D cup, you sort of get teased no matter what the size of your butt. And I was teased a lot for being fat, but I think it had more to do with my boobs than the rest of me.

I had a bit of midnight snacking - but not as bad as it could have been. I had to run to the store (a bit of a jaunt when you live in the country) for ibuprofin for a sick kiddo. Everything looks good at midnight. I made it out unscathed (after holding several chocolate bars and looking at the calories in them), but then had a bowl of cereal when I got home. (155 cal and 3 points)

If you read my rant earlier, I got another letter from the editor of our newspaper and he said that the police are being tight lipped, but it appears the woman made up the story as they have physical evidence that doesn't add up and no witnesses. That being said, I am still mad. Even without a crime, false allegations seriously disrupt everyones sense of security. I noticed that yesterday there were a lot of people out and about, but they were in groups on the paths and trails in town and not just alone. I like living in a place where my only worry walking outside at night is bears. Ok, that still sounds creepy, but at least you can scare them off most of the time.

I won't even begin to tell you how my Wed. went...lol. I tend to use that day as a splurge day of sorts. I weighed in in the morning, and had lost 1.75# which was awesome.
Let's just say, I went over pts. by 9...and had no fruits/veggies/milk/oil. I did however get in all my water, worked out at Curves for 1/2 hour AND walked with some neighbors and our kids at night.

Today is a new day, lunch is packed...breakfast is made. I'm good to go!\

I finished my night off BAD yesterday. I ate 4 of the one point cinnamon twists. I had two slices cheese pizza and one pepperoni. I am so mad I ate the pepperoni. It was not even good and upset my stomach. I also ate two cupcakes yesterday afternoon. Looks like week after TOM has been the most challenging this month. Should be ok today. I started off with my oatmeal for 3pts. All of us talking about our size has really put things into perspective for me. I feel good now. I am working towards feeling even better and that is what counts. Well, that and now I don't have to shop at the "fat girl" store anymore. Wish some of us lived near each other. Wish I could walk/swim/skip/jump with you guys. I am the only one I know that is working so hard at this. One friend about half a mile from me is going to join WW next week (was going to this week but didn't). I look forward to this but don't see us helping each other much. Her life is arranged different than mine as are her prioraties. Again, sorry for any type-oes. I don't have the spell check here. Anyhow...keep at it girls. We are all doing great!!! --Amy

I finished up with 20.5 points yesterday! Considering the last few days I've only been getting 12 to 13 points in because I've been so sick, it felt good to want to eat again. Only problem was I was two shy on my fruits and veggies, and I didn't have any good oils. Will try harder today! Might even make it to Curves!

Breakfast: Latte (2) and Oatmeal (4) - I ate Anna's oatmeal too.
Lunch: Crackers (3), Soup (4)

Wil has swimming lessons tonight, so I should get in at least an hour or so at the pool.

muncha, muncha, muncha
spinach salad with croutons and dressing (2)
Kashi Go Lean cereal with milk (3)
ditto (3)

21 points so far today

I have been having a much harder time with staying within my points this week. I don't really feel like I am grazing so much as just hungry.
wine (2), cheese (4 ), apple (1)
crackers (2), chicken (5), cheese (3)

I also ate cheese today, which I usually avoid. I should have measured, but I didn't.

38 points for the day
