Starting Simple Start for the first time

I have been on Weight Watchers before and have decided to join back up, after yo yo ing on different diets for a long time.

I am going to start with the Simple Start for a couple weeks, and then go onto the regular points system. I get 26 a day.

I used to do it only online, but this time I will go to meetings, I think I need that to keep on going. I always do good for a few weeks, then seem to slip. I think I need the accountability, or something.

Anyone have any tips for Weight Watchers, or Simple Start?

I didn't do Simple Start or Simply Filling (which follows Simple Start if you turn out to like it better than points).

If you do decide later on to do points, I would encourage tracking in some form (either online - what I do - or on paper) what you eat. Also, I find that going to meetings and weighing in weekly is really important to me in staying on track. If you don't like the leader or the meeting try others if available.

I don't know anything much about these programs but you need to watch the way you think about your progress. If you are slipping is it because you think you've done good and now can relax a little.

Well the truth is, you can't. You can't ever really be that relaxed about weightloss.

Well i'm not saying one should stress about it either. I'm saying stick to the program and don't get into a bad habit of taking liberties because you think you've earned it or some other self sabotaging type of thing.

Stick with the program. If a problem arises, get help. The meeting probably will help you.

Eat good quality nutritious foods most of all. Don't eat too many empty calorie type foods. learn to enjoy the healthy foods. Make them more yummy with little bits of fat. i.e. steamed vegies are yuck but steamed vegies with a little butter or natural yoghurt are yummy. If it keeps you eating more vegies more often, i'd say thats a good strategy. That said, if you can turn your vegies into an even more delicious dish such as an authentic indian curry, then you are miles ahead again.
