Default Points in homemade Chilli?

Anyone here know the points for chilli? I can't seem to find it in the book. I had to look up the calorie info and I came up with 6 points for a cup. It is homemade and I put extra lean ground beef with kidney beans in it. No cans of spaghetti sauce just a an of tomatoes. 6 points seems to make sense to me but you never know.

Thanks

How much ground beef, how much kidney beans...you need to figure the points for each item in your recipe, divide it by the number of servings and then figure the points.

Quilter is correct. If you have etools you can use recipe builder. Sometimes I go with similar items, such as Wendy's chilli points as long as the recipe is similar.

Yep, that goes for any recipe you make. It doesn't take long to just write it all out, then you can make a note of it so you don't need to do the math next time.

If you have never tried the one point chili, (which may not be one point on the new plan) it has been one of my staple recipes with tweaking for the past 6 years.

One Point Chili

I just noticed that hers says it's four servings. That's a lie - it's over 12 servings, which makes 1.5 cups an awesome freezable pre-made dinner.

Ok guys thanks a lot. So I guess I messed up that day then..I counted it as 3 points for 1/2 cup..according to MyFitnessPal. No I'm not on MyFitnessPal but I go and count fat fibre etc, sometimes to get my points.

Considering I probably had about 1 oz of meat and about 10 kidney beans, I think 3 points should be good. I usually do count things separately in the recipe builder but wasn't planning on having any so I didn't use my usual methods. I was cooking it for my mom, but ended up having some because I got lazy and didn't want to make lunch that day :P
