Default How to cure the loose skin problem

Ok I know I have not lost a great deal compared to others here but I am finding I have this sagging skin around my waist. I go to the gym and do my cardio, not real consistant with weight training (maybe one day a week) and the only thing not sagging is my calve muscles.

Any suggests? Are you having this problem? Is it me and old age?

Some of it you can firm up a bit with exercise but it's not something you can work away in most cases. It would likely require surgery if you have a lot of it, like I do.

I agree if it's just loose skin hanging there, surgery is the way to go. I have it, too.

Im starting to see it mostly on inner thighs and upper inner arms. Sucks so bad, you work so hard to lose it, then your stuck with another issue!

Age and time... I am 44 and at first the extra skin was scary. but I have noticed that some of it is stretching back. My dad (67) has lost about the same amount - his sagging skin is not going away. Not enough collegen to stretch it back.

So if you are young (under 45, I am hoping ), it'll stretch back with exercise. Do add in some strength training too.

I have loose skin on my thighs, belly, and behind! For a while I was really angry and sad because when I looked at myself in the mirror, I HATED my body. I thought - "I put so much time and effort in, shouldn't my body look better?!" I looked into surgery but realized my loose skin is my daily reminder of what I did to myself and to not go back. So for now, I'm keeping it and embracing my body because it is beautiful and so is yours!

Thanks chickies I did start strength training Monday and going to give it a go for a month and see if that will help tighen things up. As for age....well lets say I am above the 1/2 century mark so nothing is going to really snap back. Even if this doesnt work I know I worked hard and I will have to keep at it for the rest of my life I have proved to myself it is way to easy to go bavk to the 'old' way and gain again....
