Just signed up for Weight Watchers online!
I am excited to get started but nervous about the tracking. I hope I get it right. Not really sure I understand the difference between points and points plus?
Hoping this helps me get from my 154.5 to 130lbs by July though!
I am having back issues also so I am trying to figure out something I can do that is not going to aggravate my back.

Points Plus is just the name of the program - if you did previous versions of WW, though, forget what you used to know about how points were calculated because P+ points are not calculated the same. That's the main big difference. The calculation takes in to account fiber, fat, carbs and protein now. In addition to daily points, you have weekly and activity points that you can use - you're not required to use them, though. Read all the materials on the website a couple of times through. It may take a few weeks to get used to everything but it gets easier. Good luck to you!

Just follow the program. I think all the information they provide online is amazing! Just track, track, track.

Thanks guys! This is the first time I am ever doing WW so I have no previous info to go by. I am excited though.
How long does it normally take to start seeing results?

Whoo! Welcome! I agree with everyone, just stick to the plan and you'll be great.
My bottom two lumbar in my spine are fused and I have a lot of back pain.
I don't exercise right now. I'm just not ready. I've found that even though I don't exercise I generally lose about 2 pounds each week.

I am at 26 points a day but right now I am about to go bonkers because I really want to snack on something and I only have like 2 points left How long am I going to have this problem? I need better willpower I guess.

Hi Tonyia, for 2 points you can have a 6 ounce container of plain Greek Yogurt. Greek yogurt is surprisingly filling! You can also get 2 points worth of dip or salad dressing, and dip in some fresh veggies, like cherry tomatoes or cucumbers. Just the first two ideas off the top of my head, but there are tons of choices. You can also use some of your weekly points for times like this. I save my weeklies unless I really want them. If I need them to stay the course and still be 'on plan' then I use them. Otherwise I skip them. But you do have the 49 weeklies available to you if you need them.
After you get through the first few days, you'll feel stronger and you'll have ideas to get you through times like this.
Good luck!

Hi Tonyia! I do WW Online, too, and love it
Like Jennifer said, after you get through the first few days you'll have a better idea of snacks and how to distribute your points in a way that works best for you. But we're here to help if you have any questions!

I just joined today too...and I know I am very, very large, but they've given me 71 points a day! That just seems like entirely too much...I really hope this works because I spent 60 bucks in advance...

Thanks so much guys!
I know the plan works if you work it so I keep telling myself that
So today I spent a few of my weeklies because I joined really without having planned for it so I have nothing in house that is low points right now. I am going to the store tomorrow so I can better plan my days out.
I need to get some cherry tomatoes, those are a big fave of mine. Last night I ended up eating a bowl of lettuce with 3 baby carrots shredded on top and a 1 point dressing and that really helped me so much.

Don't be afraid to eat your weeklies either. I just did a test with eating my weeklies and not eating them and I actually lose more when I eat them all.
This varies from person to person, but they are there for a reason, so don't be scared to eat some of them!

There are a few things I keep around in case I get hungry after dinner (which is always):
- Caramel Skinny Cow Bar (3 pp)
- Fibre One Peanut & Oat Bar (4 pp)
- Del Monte Red Grapefruit packed in water & splenda (0 pp)
- Banana & PB2 (1 pp, depending on how much PB2 you use)

I don't know how to calculate points but it seems about right considering your height and weight. I had 38 points at 235, being female and 5'7''. Give it a chance and it will work.

I was afraid to eat them because I didn't want to mess anything up. I guess they would not give them to us if we could not have them though.
