I go to meetings. I like the group setting and have made a lot of friends and gotten a lot of good tips.

I also need the accountability of having to weigh in each week.

That said, it's up to whatever works for you.

You say you need all the support you can get.

With that in mind, I think making a commitment to going to the weekly meetings would be the best thing for you. Not only do they provide accountability, but there's a real connection with the members who go regularly. There's plenty of support and lots of ideas and positivity passed around each week.

If you're interested in both, there's the monthly members pass that combines them for a discount. That's what I use, and I love it. So, I have the option to do both.

I like going to the meetings. Tried online, DID NOT WORK for me! But maybe the more disciplined I get, it could possibly work in the future. With that said, Give it a shot! Make the effort, it'll work for you, if you work for it. It's a slow process, I started in October after I couldnt buckle my seatbelt on a plane! Awful, embarrassing and degraded is what I felt like. I do not want to experience that again, so I jumped in with two feet, and my eyes closed. Praying this continues to work for me!

Hi again Breannaj1215 -

I do online only and it works for me. I like the idea of going to "live" meetings for more accountability, but knowing how I am, I would start skipping them eventually. I say definitely give the meetings a fair shot though. Different formats work for each person.

Good luck!

For myself, I know I need the meetings, for the accountability. Also, doing it with a friend has helped a lot as well, because we are able to support and encourage each other during the week.

Also, on a different tangent, I notice you have two goals in your signature. Short time goals are awesome, and everyone should have them. However, you want to lost 10 pounds in a month, which is awesome, but then lost another 19 pounds the next month? Going to actual meetings can help you set realistic goals, to keep you on track even more.

I am still paying for monthly pass because most of their meeting places around me have closed. So I'm mostly using online, but am keeping monthly pass so that I may achieve lifetime status some day. Hopefully more meetings will open back up, but it does not look like that will happen some time soon. I wonder if they are having some financial difficulties.
