So... I am at the point where I'm pretty close to the end, and I have been maintaining the same weight for quite a while. I am just wondering if it's time to call it goal? I would love to be able to stop paying 40 bucks a month to stay at a weight I am pretty happy maintaining at this point. MY question is, if I become a lifetime member, but a few months from now decide to lose some more, how does that work? I have heard some things such as if you deviate 4 lbs from your "goal weight", even if it's a loss, you are not really maintaining? Do you have to start paying again? confused...

During the 6 week maintenance period you must be within 2 pounds of your goal weight whether over or under. The idea is that you learn how to stay at a weight since there are those who know how to lose but really struggle with maintaining a weight loss.

After you become lifetime if you look at the guidelines on the Weightwatchers.com website you are are OK even if you go below goal. This is why lots of people set their goal weight at the top of their range. Where I am located it is fine to go below your goal weight so long as you don't go below the bottom of your goal range.

Bear in mind that there are WW corporate locations and there are franchised locations. Sometimes there are somewhat different rules on franchised locations. It might be possible that a franchised location would have a different rule on this...I don't know.

Interesting I have been contemplating this same idea. I have been sitting at this weight for a couple of months. And in the past whenever I have lost weight I have always bounced back to this weight. I am wondering if I should just call this goal and be happy and stop paying!

I'm pretty happy at this weight and healthy and losing more is really vanity weight for me.

I am not sure if you can change your goal weight unless you have a doctor's note for health reasons. I think I was told that at one of my meetings.

If you are within your goal range for your height you can freely change your goal weight (didn't use to be like that but is now). If you want to set a goal weight that is not within your goal range then you need a doctor's note.

At one time my goal weight was 125 (when I got to lifetime). Since then I have changed it to 145 which is almost the top of my range. I had no problem doing that and no note was required. If I wanted to, say, set my goal at 150, though, I would need a doctor's note.

It may be different for different locations.
