Default Need Some advice help - It has been a while

I am a reborn male life Member, but it has been many years since I attended a in person meeting. I have always battled weight issues, and like many of us I have been the perfect example of a yo - yo up & down. I hope this time I can keep on track. But I do have some questions, and wanted other members to refresh and update me on the policies. I am thinking of attending meetings in person, as I approach my new life time goal weight, I think I need that in person motivation. As a life member once I rejoin, do they allow you to weight in weekly, or will they make me pay weekly fees if I want this option. Will they supply me with the current literature, and program tools, as the information I have been following is much different than todays rules. Back when I followed the points program could count up to 10 grams of dietary fibre now 4 is the max. on the newer points scale. Any advice will be most helpfull.

My understanding: (not as a Leader, just as a longtime member)--since you are already Lifetime, you can always go back to any meeting and not pay the registration fee. Then you go to the weekly meeting until you are back at goal. After that, you'll weigh in at least once a month. You won't be charged if you are within 2 pounds of the goal weight you set (discuss it with your leader). If you skip a whole month of meetings, they are supposed to charge you--I make sure I get there by the 3rd weekend so that I don't panic if things get very busy by the end of the month.

Yes, you'll get all the new literature. I pick up the new material every time I go, plus they gave me the back issues of the revised program (Momentum/Simply Filling).

Personally, I love my leader and the meetings have been crucial for me. I am sure the fact that I keep going is part of why I have maintained--over 5 years now!

Good luck and best wishes.

thanks, if I want to weight in weekly here in my area I have to pay weekly, if I only want to weight in once a month I only have to pay once a month until I hit goal again. I have to check on material etc.

That's right. You will get the new materials. If you only weigh once a month and are not more than 2 pounds over goal, it's free. If you want weighed weekly, you pay weekly. Get a monthly pass if it's available. It's the cheapest way to go ($39) if you want weighed weekly.

Just a little addition to the above, once you are 2# of your goal you're free for the month, should you go over that in the same month you're still free since you already have an "official" weigh in. Depending on how much you have to lose to get back to within 2# you may want to consider the Monthly Pass and go to weekly meetings.

I weigh in weekly even though I'm at goal--it's keeps me accountable and on track and I get all the weekly magazines, etc.
