wendy-double check your book. A fresh peach is 1 point. Are they fresh are canned?

I was told that 1 cup of fruit is equal to one point, no matter what the fruit was...

It's a small-medium size fresh peach. I found fresh peaches at the front of the book and it said small/medium was 0 and large was 1.

ok good...I thought I was seeing things! *lol* I rechecked it to make sure it was not just for the core plan of anything and it's listed as general foods. I find alot of regular foods there when I can't find them in the back.

tangerines and/or oranges, I believe are the same way. Though if you have another later in the day, I think it's generally expected that you would then count the one point.

Also if I had one tangerine and one small peach, I'd still consider it one point.

I've found since all fruits have natural sugars, I do tend to count them as points, I find too many 0pts are right on the borderline of 0 and 1. Just be careful, 0+0, never adds up to 0.

Then also remember none of us got this way by eating too many carrots or strawberries!!

The way I look at it.... i eat 10 strawberries in the morning say and count as 0.

If I eat a few morning later in the day I would then count them.

An easy rule of thumb I learned from a Leader...

For every 5 zero point foods you eat, mark 1 point.
