A few comments that I kept getting when I used to go to meetings especially when I was getting smaller was " but you're so young " or I'd hear people making allusions to the fact that it was so much easier for me to lose weight due to my age (I did WW when I was 22/23). People would imply my success was due to my age. Well to be honest, being young DOES help, but I had to make a ton of changes and get into new healthy habits to lose the weight. It didn't magically happen because I was 23. My mom just got her 100lb ribbon and magnet and she's in her early 50s and is losing at a rate that is slightly slower than I did.
I was at a WW meeting about 4-5 months ago and this woman asked me what I was doing there, I told her I was a lifetimer. She then said "well I guess you didn't have much to lose then?". I don't think she meant to be rude, but I was kind of insulted.
The fact is everyone who walks through the door of a WW meeting knows that their eating habits are not the best and would like to do something about it, even if they only have 5lbs to lose.
Good Luck to All!
