I'm trying to debulk myself

Today, despite feeling kind of sick, I was able to do 630 lbs on the 45 degree leg press.

L2L, I'm trying ! Last night I did a few reps of 140 lb bench press on the smith machine before I got scared and changed it to 130. I also did some pushups last night, which I've never done as part of my routine, and I was amazed at how well I did.

Nelie,
You did 140 on the smith including the bar? or not including? Either way, that is awesome...
Did you have like a 45# plate and a 25# plate on 'each' sdie of the bar? That is a lot of weight for a female. Actuallym there are plenty of men that can do that....
Even including the bar (like a 45#plate on each side) is a lot more than most females can do or will ever do. And to think you are getting stronger all the time...
You are obviously very blessed genetically which I happen to think is very, very cool!

L2L, it was 1 45 and 1 25 lb plate on each side. I don't know how much the bar weights itself. It doesn't seem like the bar weighs that much at all but I'm usually stupid and put the weights on BEFORE I adjust the bar to the height I want it. I'm learning though.

Nelie,
I don't count the weight of the bar when I journal Smith Presses (or anything done on the Smith) since it really doesn't contribute to the resistance much. I DO count it however, when I a traiditional Barbell (extra 45#)
140 is the MOST I have ever done on the Smith, when I was in my best ever shape, and I have been lifting for over a decade!,
Yesterday, after a lay off from training chest, I did 90....
140# Nice Job, indeed.......
XOXO

i don't know how much smith machine bars weigh but a traditional olympic bar used for free weights are 20kg thats what 45lb ish. my gym doesn't have a smith machine lol to modern for us. its the kinda place were there are loads of plates that are showing signs of mirrored walls and i swear there is sawdust on the floor

I thought that Smith Machine bars were counterbalanced, so you aren't supposed to 'count' the weight of the bar in your lift poundage...?

All Smith machines are different. Mine at home is not counterbalanced, so the bar is 45 pounds. The ones we have at the gym are 15 pounds. At our other gym we have one with 100% counterbalance- very weird to use.

I never count any weight for the bar on Smith excersises. 15# sounds about right, but I still won't count anything since I haven't in so long. It would just confuse me when I went to review my journals.....
I count 45# for the traditional free weight barbell
