Not to be a bossy boots, but IMO there's no need for regular folks, or even non-competing reasonably fit people such as yourself to go the chicken-n-broccoli route ... unless you like this meal for some particular reason. Any diet that entails a moderate calorie restriction and a decent macro ratios (i.e., not one of those stupid 80% CHO, 10%F, 10%P diets from the "fat-free" 90s) will do the trick, eventually.

I actually prefer egg whites to other breakfast foods. They're hot, have decent sticking power, and take all of 120 seconds to prepare if you spring for the egg whites in the carton and use the microwave. (Of course, it's another 5 minutes to clean the baked-on egg whites out of the dish and off the fork....) You can add chopped up veggies -- last night's leftover broccoli, perhaps , or green/red peppers -- and a bit of cheese for an omelet, or just douse 'em with fresh salsa. Yumm.

Bossy boots is the new goats.

//b. strong,
Kim

Kim, no problem. I won't go totally pretzel and chocolate free!

I know this is a little late, but this was a great post. Great reminder to get into the gym and burn some calories.
