Kim and Rhonda, those are good goals. I also want to lean out some this year, without losing strength. I think it would help with pull-ups and running...okay, it would probably help with everything, lol.
My other goals are mainly to get better with gymnastics/bodyweight movements, try to knock a few goats off the list with practice, get that 300# deadlift if I can, finish a 50 mile ultra, and place top 3 in my weight class at the strongman competition in the fall. The ultra running and strongman are kinda conflicting goals, I know, but I like them both, so am just going to do my best and see how it goes this year.

I wonder if goats came from scapegoats. Although you might just as well call them the black sheep of the bunch. Or the cows, as in, "I feel like a cow on handstand pushups." Then we could move into the cervine family. Oh, deer.
Enough. I'm giddy this morning because I finally broke 150 on the scale: 149.5, to be exact, but my scale only has 0.5 pound increments. I know it's just a number, and I also know that that number will likely bounce back over 150 tomorrow, whether because of today's planned leg day or general rehydration or just because the weather is unseasonably warm. But I'll take it, nonetheless!
Yesterday's skiing wasn't even enough to call a light cardio day. More of an active recovery day. But, it was a lot of fun, the sun was out (rare, in my gray neck-of-the-woods), and The Boy is getting noticeably better. We're still hanging out on the green runs, in part because he's a cautious kid by nature and resists things that he thinks will be scary, but caution on the ski slopes isn't such a bad thing!
Hope everyone has a SAFE new years. Cheryl, I just love the idea of a midnight WOD with your gym friends. That's so cool ...
// b. strong,
Kim

 Beautiful. I predict this is going to be referenced a lot this year.

 everyone!
My goal for 2011 is like everyone elses, to get better at lifting, to lose some pounds, and improve my general health.
