I'm pretty happy with it, but I know how the first week on any diet goes, so I guess I was sort of expecting it. I'll be happy with a 1-2 lb loss from here on out.

I read the Body fat Solution this weekend; lots of good things to think about. I will definitly want to work at incorporating some of those ideas into my lifestyle, as this loss thing goes on. I'm determined that this will be the final journey for me.

Temple - how is the clean eating going so far?

Its going good. I'm actually just "officially" starting B4L now. I was eating the similar meals already though but I had a few unauthorized tangents this weekend. I didn't go crazy though. I realise this is a lifestyle commitment and so I didn't for example eat one mini chocolate and say, "Ooops. I made a mistake let me start tomorrow!"

Anyway, tomorrow I will start recording everything for my trainer and on my blog. I already have my breakfast cooked (egg whites, spinach and peppers to be eaten with a brown rice tortilla) and my lunch cooked (chicken breast and peas). My snack tomorrow is cottage cheese and raspberries and my usual morning protein shake and fruit. Dinner will be fish fillet and zucchini with sweet potatoe fries. In the evening I'm going to make eggplant dip and eat it with raw veggies.

I weighed in today at 234 (last week I was 239). That's a 5lb loss.

(Ignore the current weight stats on the side. I gained 10 lbs in December and January from months away from the gym coupled with emotional eating. I didn't bother to change the info. It's going to be accurate very soon and then I'll have to reduce it. anyway =) )

5 Lbs!! Awesome! I always do love that first week on any new diet

Kind of a blah upper body workout yesterday, didn't feel like I was really hitting the high points- I forgot my notebook so didn't know the right weights to lift, and felt all out of sorts I think because of that...so new goal is never forgetting my notes, it definitely takes a toll on the workout.

I'm trying to follow a modified exercise part of this plan. I have the journal, it's been so helpful, I recommend purchasing it. I bought a used one from amazon and just whited out the other person's notes ! I just started on Tuesday. I love having a new pages to start each day with! The pictures and stories of other women that have gone from overweight to slender and tone help too!

These are my tweaks:
No abs and only calf raises for LB. My back can't handle anything else.

Aerobics on LB and UB days. I'm not clinically depressed but I find walking for that time helps me to sleep better and be much calmer and less stressed out and more positive. It's funny - I set out to do it at a steady pace but I find myself wanting to push to jog for a minute..once you do his method I guess there is no going back!

I am not working out first thing in the morning. Right now it is not possible time wise.

I am not doing all of he mental journal entries. I am so tired after working out I can hardly get dressed after my shower nevermind journal!

Even though I'm not following it 100% just having some kind of plan to work from has been very helpful and motivating.

I had my son take some before pictures of me this week. This thread just reminded me I need to send them to Walgreens! I have a couple from a visit with my father I can print out too.

Today is day 7 for me! w00t!

This is a great thread! I'm not following the eating plan but I agree about the not a binge on the free day! I think he wrote in the book about having his mom's enchiladas. I'm guessing he meant it OK to have a realxed day ~ IOW it's ok to have a serving or two but not a binge in order to be able to relax when having a meal with your family or friends or special occasion. (I remember watching the a Six Week Body Makeover commerical on HSN and a sweet caller told of her success story and confessed to Michael Thurmond for breaking the plan recently at her husband's deployment bbq. He responsed appropriately. )

Keep up the great work!!!

I just printed out the entry form and saw that EAS has a free myoplex bar/bottle/shake coupon to print from their website!

I had a rough couple of weeks, missed some workouts, and was skipping meals all over the place...not good. I'm back on track now, and planning everything in advance so I don't go off track again...
