Default I can't believe my lean body mass

I had a scan done recently to determine bodyfat and LBM.

Ladies, I am 207lbs of muscle! I thought 140-150. Nope. 207.

I am a freak, and I like it.

Where do you people go to get these scans done?! I have been searching FOREVER.. Let me know what names you are searching it under, maybe I am searching the wrong words. That is crazy that you are 207 of muscle! Awesome.

It was a DEXA scan. I got it done at a medical office.

I am amazed by the lbs of muscle I thought it was 130-150. I was wrong.

Good question, Mel. I was wondering the same thing.

JerseyGirl - if you are 207 pounds of PURE muscle, then ...WOW! You ARE a phenomenan! If you are 207 pounds of lean body mass (which is muscle, organs, tissue, anything but fat), that is great, too. We were just curious

Congrats on having more muscle than you thought-yea!!

Keep up the good work

Remember LBM includes water and bodyfat is ~20% LBM, so you might drop quite a bit of LBM when you hit your goal, as you lose the fat and drop extra water.

However you slice it, that is a huge number, and DEXA is a very accurate measure. I don't think my LBM would be 207# if I was at goal, since my LBM is currently 220#.

I hadn't slept when I wrote that, so I didn't clarify. Yes, LBM is muscle, organs and skeleton. What the latter two weigh is approximately 20lbs each, so I am looking at 167lbs of muscle, according to the scan. LBM does not include any bodyfat. My bodyfat was measured at 60lbs. According to the medical practitioner, losing LBM is not likely, and my goal weight is fast approaching.

Sorry for the confusion.
