Default Is there a name for this type of routine?

We did these "routines", running in place with knees high, ski jumps, situps, pushups, planks, bicycles.... There must have been 20 items on the list and the goal was to go from one to another without fail. I'm calling them sprint routines, but there's gotta be a better point of reference.

Can any of you trainers here tell me what you gain from such routines?

Default

raising your heart-rate, endurance, and burning calories. Just like cardio intervals, but a bit more entertaining, and utilizing body weight exercises for some resistance. Sounds like a very typical boot camp workout.
