Great to find you all! I has RNY a little over 2 years ago. Wonderful health results, but my weight loss stopped and I have been maintaining (struggling) for the past year. My life didn't follow the recommended program post-surgery so I couldn't concentrate my energies on the new lifestyle and make the transition as smoothly as I would have wished. Also has post-surgical complications and took about 6 months to heal following surgery. However, I'm still headed in the direction of my goal and am greatful for the fact that I am off of all diabetes medication, three medications for high blood pressure, and lower back problems are a rarity. I love to exercise now and trained to participate in a triathlon last summer! (Didn't lose 1 lb during that period! I am very upset about the lack of downward movement here.) That was fantastic and empowering, I love it and am already planning my training for next summer. I have lost approx. 120 pounds but still have 100 to lose. I would love to get some ideas from you all regarding meal plans -- I am taking myself back to the beginning and trying to learn to live with the 800 to 1000 calories a day, with the protein supplements -- could use some suggestions. Need to reset my dump-o-meter as well (I am able to eat almost anything). Just started back at the gym (broken bone!) -- gung ho!
Great to meet you all!
