Thanks, Ducky, for the tip about the Empire waist dress and the low cut (or rolled down) panties.

So many little things I hadn't thought about! I'm so grateful for all of you who are post-ops for sharing your experiences.

Quick question...I would probably avoid wearing sweats or shorts that have elastic bands...but what about yoga pants with gentle elastic waistbands...or is any kind of waistband a bad idea? I don't own any dresses.

I just checked my scars for locations and because i didn't remember having ANY probs wearing elastic waistbands on my trip home from the hospital. Of course, my trip was less than 30 minutes, not these 2-6 hour road trips that some folks face.

The scars aren't anywhere near the waistband. So i'd think that a band that wasn't very scrunched [like yoga pants] would be fine. and you can always move the band a little farther down your belly if you needed to.

Have I mentioned recently how grateful I am to have found this forum? Everyone is so supportive and willing to answer even the most basic questions. These are questions we can't usually ask our family or friends because they haven't been there (or done that).
