dumping is the result of too many carbs or too much fat taken in at one time. The rule of thumb [for gastric bypass] is to not take in more than 15 grams of carbs at one time. dumping is the reason i avoid fruit yogurt - there's a lot of carb grams in there with relatively little protein.
sometimes when things get stuck, it can feel like dumping, but as my surgeon told me, that's a 'pouch filling issue' [like eating too quickly, taking bites that are too big, or eating too much].
