Sleepy, do you know why you are sick in the evenings? Is it vitamin related? Food?

My 4th month today...15weeks since my surgery. I feel ok, the sickness is gone, it's been now for about three weeks I think....so thats cool I have no other problems at the moment. Nobody knows why I was sick as all the tests came back perfect. I guess it's just that the body needs to adapt to all the changes.

I've only lost 9 lbs in previous month, but I'm ok with it as I wanted to go a bit slow during the new years. Gave my body a bit of a break and my skin for that matter Since new years I've started losing again and that's those 9 lbs.

All together I only need three more pounds to lose 100lbs...wooohoooo!!!! Hopefuly I'll lose them this week

I was hoping WLS would help me with those premenstrual cravings...but it didn't. How can I deal with this? I feel so hungry a few days before my period..it's really annoying!!!!!!

i'd suggest increasing your protein - and making sure you're hydrated and getting enough exercise and sleep. But perhaps most important, make sure you're getting enough calcium and B complex.

The hormone changes associated with the weight loss can make periods MUCH worse [fortunately, I didn't have to deal with it - as i was at THAT ADVANCED AGE!!!! whew! i did indeed dodge a bullet there!]

It's been five months since my surgery and exactly a year since I've decided I had enough.

I've lost exactly 100 lbs. i guess feb.17th is a great date lol.

Last month I've only lost 3 lbs. not much, but I'll take it. I know why it stopped. I can finally eat without feeling sick and the workout is basically zero. I am soooo sick an tired of this winter an snow and cold.

But with all the problems, suffering, illness, sickness..everything I went through this last year...it was still A GREAT year

100 lbs??? Woooooohoooooooo!

And since I am the siliest person I know lol it's not 17th. I was sure it was...oh well still have two more days...maybe I'll lose a pound heheheh.

Jiffy, the lessons are to be patient, to love life, to love yourself (still working on this one). I am feeling fine, not on top of the world but getting there And I am looking normal! I am still 60lbs overweight but now I am just fat, not extremly fat..so even if I wouldnt lose any more weight it was already worth it!

Great insights, Sleepy - i gotta admit, though, that i'm fascinated by people's answers to that Q. In other parts of 3fc, the answers are often 'being satisfied with less' or 'learning to tell if i'm really hungry' or 'finally figuring out how to fit in exercise.'

but around here, the answers are always about the head games we play - about loving our selves, recognizing that we're worth the effort, changing our relationships with food, and therefore with ourselves and with other people.

just a comment...

Yes it is amazing...I guess everything changes when you are not driven by hunger anymore...food becomes unimportant. Maybe when you are loosing weight without surgery food becomes even more important and that's why all the insights are food related and ours are more life related

I haven't read all of the replies, but I stopped losing 3 weeks post sleeve. That lasted 3 weeks. It was the most frustrating 3 weeks of my life! Once I got past that my losses were consistent. I'm 20 months post op, and I still lose 1/2 lb every now and then. I've lost 130 lbs total, and I'm at my goal. Hang in there, the losses will pick up soon!!
