Default What the hairy heck!

Weekly weigh in. Soooo...I gained 2 pounds! I had 1 piece of bread all week and 1 piece of bridal shower cake. Not a store cake, but one made by a specialist that I ate without guilt. On labor day, I did have a few potato chips and seconds on potato salad but I passed up 3 desserts and rolls for my meat. I had sugar free ice cream one evening when we ate with my mom. And I had a raging toothache all week so I didn't even snack on nuts. Dinners at home were meat and salad. I made good choices and didn't whine or complain about what I couldn't eat. Soo frustrated!

I feel better--less achy for sure. But really? I'm pissed.

I really hate those weeks when you follow the rules, yet don't see any benefit.

Per chance, can it be related to your cycle? I always gain around that time of the month.

Ban the scale for a few days. It's exasperating, but I'm guessing it's probably water weight. I sometimes manage to gain/lose 5-7 lbs overnight. When in doubt, go by how you feel.

after a week's foray back into sugarland, I'm back on track and lost 2 more pounds. Sometimes I wonder if my body is so used to sugar that I need to have a little now and then to tell my body it's okay to burn some fat. I'm reading "It Starts with Food" by the people who created the Whole30 diet and it explains a lot about food chemistry and hormones and all that stuff we don't think to think to much about when we eat the wrong things.
