I woke up this morning with a thought. If I don't eat enough and I gain weight, and if I eat too much I gain weight, then obsessing about what, when and how much I eat is not going to improve my life today.
So instead of giving up entirely, I am going to go back to basics...the Diabetic exchange. 8 servings of protein, 6 servings of carbs, 4 of fat, 5 of veggies and 2 of fruit. if I get this much during the day I have eaten enough and if I eat more, I am not going to beat myself up, just try and shoot for it the next day.
I always say one has to be there for themselves, who else will?? So here I am practicing what I preach! no weighing and measuring, no strict calorie counting, just an approximate amount to remain healthy, one day at a time!
Well, for today anyway, I reserve the right to change my mind tomorrow!
