Thank god for Kohls and Sears

Since I dropped so much weight/sizes so quickly I have been struggling with clothing. Especially from Thanksgiving to NYE. The holidays are killing me because I have so many holiday parties, not to mention my birthday and NYE..
I have been buying the min of clothing just to get through.. frankly I don't care if my day to day stuff hangs on me until I get down so much I really can't wear anything.

But I needed jeans for work and some dressey pieces for the parties...

Kohls.. 2 pairs of Vera Wang and Apt 9 jeans. $7.40 each.

Sears.. 1 pair black satin tuxedo pants on sale $17.00

I had a few of my dress tops taken in by a friend..... So basically for around 45.00 I am getting through the holidays!

I puffy heart Kohls!

I looooooooooooooooooooooooove shopping. LOVE IT!
We're not exactly "people of means" though - and now we're on one salary, so, I have been indulging in my ultimate shopping sport - thrift store shopping.
Girlfriends and I, all being from bump-and-jostle snag-and-haggle shopping sitchyations would make whole days of terrifying the locals and TEARING UP a Goodwill on the ritzy section of town. In fact, I just went last night and got 3 tops for $16. They are all "brand", in excellent condition, and on-trend if a season or so behind. Yep - shopping. <eyes glaze over>

Have you tried Old Navy, sindurella? Their final sales are ridiculously low, and while their sizes tend to run a little funky (I find the waist too big, the thighs too small and the tops are just enooooooooooormous unless they're way too tight.) but if you try on and get an idea of what cuts and sizes you're looking for, you can score some amazing loot for very little money. I've come out of there at under $50 with 8 items, all brand new, none socks... :D
Be careful of quality though. I am not ashamed to really pull at their seams in-store.

Macys generally has great sales, I usually hit the 75% to 90% racks. Although I've been disappointed in their clothes in recent years but still good to check out and see what I can get.

I agree Nelie, I went to Macy's yesterday. A $40 shirt (for my DD) was on sale for $14.99... I clipped out the $10.00 coupon out of the paper and paid $5 bucks for it  HOW YOU DOIN!!!

The only thing with Macys ... most of their brands aren't as forgiving size ways. :)

ROSS!!! Love Ross!!! You just have to realize that most of their clothes are mismarked and you have to try different sizes. I don't mind and got all my holiday and Bday dresses and jeans there!

I have been living at walmart.. but then I live in jeans and pullovers...

i got 25 items from Old Navy's clearance rack for 50 bucks a couple weeks ago. I have also been doing the thrift store thing. I just cant see spending much money on clothes that arent going to fit for long. I have dropped 3 sizes in 1 1/2 months!
