I had an Oprah -iinspired Epiphany. . .and I'm not even a pearl clutching conservative Midwesterner!
I do however own Pearls
I got her best life issue of the magazine (I wanted to see how she hit 200 again I admit) and I realized something
I thrive on multitasking if I don't have things to do I'm bored
That being said when I have too many things to do or things that I dread/loathe
I shut down (and eat!)
So my O-Piphany is I'm going to juggle less and only juggle what I want!
Martha Beck had this whole thing about envisioning the life you want and while you don't have to make the big changes and decisions all at once
you make the little ones that in turn enable the big ones (she had this whole thing about Decisions that feel warm vs cold)
So I'm starting today I'm making the small decisions that I gravitate too not the ones that I'm obligated too.
Being an Irish Catholic (and therefore guilty about something 85 % of the time) that's not easy but its healthier than eating my boredom anxiety and disillusionment!
