My vision -
I have this lovely vision of myself in a new red dress at the Christmas parties. Snicker, snicker. The dress will be in a size 14!!!
I've sure got to stick with my program to achieve that.

sorry...sorry......
Hi everyone.....I've missed you all!!!!......what a whirl wind last few weeks. Well, our trip to Charlotte North Carolina was fantastic!!! So much so......that we 've decided to accept the offer of a transfer!!! Dh starts the new job there on Oct 15th and hopefully with a quick sale....we'll be there too within a couple of months. We are soooo excited, it is a really excellent opportunity for Dh, and for us. We went down for 1 week and fell in love with the city and the people. So, needless to say....WE'VE BEEN PAINTING...SEEING AGENTS.....MORE PAINTING....ORDERING CARPET.....and everything else in an everyday sense. I dread upcoming Tuesday, as this is the day I have to give my 'notice' to my boss. Okay....am not handling the stress well but soon hope to be back on plan. I'm the eating kind of stress and dh is the 'not' eating kind of stress......what a pair we make!! WE ARE ABSOLUTELY SO EXCITED WE WANT TO BE THERE ....YESTERDAY. The house goes up on the market in one week and theres so much to do. Lucky for us ....we have a relocation dept to help us. Well, good to be back (don't know just how often I'll be able to check in....but am here in spirit and in thin-vision) tc....

hello?
Hi Ladies. Just a quickie....haha, never thought I'd hear myself say that one.....but just stopped by to take a break from the painting. Hope everyone is still doing well, and lets see?....my thin vision for today, is once we make the move and Dh is home more....going jogging before he leaves for work every morning. I am really looking forward to the nicer weather/climate. Already here in the mornings is quite cold and we've already had frost. Can't wait to ditch my winter boots/parka!!! Take care, bye

Hey Ladies,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while! I've been so busy with school starting that I haven't really had a lot of time for myself. Well, I stayed in my points pretty much all last week, but didn't have time to workout at all. I was still adjusting to my (much) earlier schedule...
My thin vision:
Is to be able to fit in a size 14 or 16 wedding dress for my first fitting, then maybe take it in a few inches a week before the wedding. OKay all, my alarm clock is telling me to wake up! (I woke up early) Better go turn it off! Love ya all, please come back and post!!

its official....
Dh has started the new job!! He flew to Charlotte on Monday for 2 weeks.(sigh) and will be home (thank goodness) on the 27th. The real estate agent came over for all the paperwork for the listing and if all goes well....(faxing to Charlotte) we will have the sign on the yard tommorow!!! YIPPIE...!!!! To add to more stress, we've been on a waiting list for E's ears to have tubes put in and after a wait of already 4 months----have surgery booked for next week. Dh won't even be home for it, hopefully as they say...."in and out" and back to our routine the next day. We were very surprised to say the least, when the specialist told us that E had a hearing loss of 10-15%. With the drainage tubes put in, he'll have an improvement immediately to 100%. Thank goodness we can have this done before we move. Poor little guy, to have all the 'echo'ing' in his hearing. Just think.....next week he'll be hearing perfectly for the first time since all those darn ear infections!!!
The new carpets were put in yesterday, and boy oh boy....does the house ever look great. Hard to put it up for sale....actually, but the first person with money in hand gets it. CAN'T WAIT....but guess I'll have too. Dh just loves NC...mid 70's today...sure beats mid 60's (which is not too bad either for this time of year...lol)
Hope you are okay, Gracenote and school is going well. What a big change eh? Tommorow is hump day, and then the countdown to the weekend. Did you end up finding a dress yet? So much to plan, do tell me about all the details. I just love weddings!!!..... I am invited right?...LOL.....put a stamp on my invitation, but mail it to NC. take care, bye

Angel!
I'm so glad everything is going well! You must be sooo excited!
Well, wedding planning is still on... we're considering using our church gym for the reception since it is big and we will save a lot of money...
Weight-wise, i'm not doing so great. I'm not on plan every day and I haven't been exercising. But today is a new day! I have an interview at Demetrios Bridal and I am going to exercise and eat great!
My thin vision for today is to wear a red velvet christmas victoria's secret bra and underwear set next year for christmas when i reach goal! (And I WILL reach goal by next chrismas... at the rate I'm going, I will be there by september. And i've been going at a SLOOOOW rate)
Take care everyone who's still reading this! Did we all give up on this thread or what?

Hi.....an update......
Hi Nancy....you and me girl.....just hang in there!!!I'm sorry to have been away for so long, but things have been very hectic. Well it looks like our house has sold....took only 6 days!!! Our agent was very confident and very thorough. We had 5 showings, and got the price that we thought we would. This is a conditional sale with 'subject to financing' from their bank until midnight Oct 30th. Cross your fingers and your toes.....come Halloween we'll be moving!!! Oh?....and the moving date?....3 weeks.....YIKES!!! So pardon me if I'm not around for another while longer......have to give 2 weeks notice at work, have a birthday party for my soon to be 8 yr old, get all of our banking in order, list serial numbers of all electronice stuff, sell old clunker and buy a new car, get 4 passports ready, probably go out for (count'em)...5 get to gethers of friends and family>>>>> PHEW>>>>> THATS ENOUGH RIGHT???? and dh is away for 2 of the 3 weeks. Any advice? I just might take up drinking to replace the stress eating....LOL, (just kidding)
E's ear surgery went well, but as usual the wait was an extra 1.5 hrs. Not so bad, but when you can't eat or drink for what seem forever....it was the recovery room stuff that was very hard. The nurses told us that he might wake up "feeling strange"....HOLY COW!!! He was thrashing about, totally freaked out, screaming for 1.5 hrs. And of course, the release them sooo early, within 40 min of surgery!! Thank goodness my MIL came with us, so I was able to at least sit in the backseat and try to comfort him has we drove the hour long drive home. Poor little guy, but you know? He barely remembers the operation, hospital time, and all is great!! NO concerns, and his ears seem totaly fine. So....it seems to be worth it so far. Tonight, we take the test......FIRST BATH, they reccommend vaseline cotton balls in the ears....???? I hope all is well with you. Take care, see you soon. ....maybe from sunny North Carolina.....lol

hello? hello?.....
Hi Nancy. Just pulling up and hoping to hear from you. Well, we've started the countdown to the big moving day. Tonight was the start of the "goodbye parties"....the neighbours, then in-laws tommorow....then work, then high-school girlfriends...need I go on? I hope after all is said and done, I don't balloon up with needless poundage. So far, the stress has been okay, oh...sure, I've had my moments but all in all I"ve done pretty well. I finish work in 1 week, and move in 2 wks. It would be nice to have a house to move into....???!!!!YIKES.....lol, they will put us up in a hotel no problem, but sure would be nice to find a place that is ready to move in!! Well, hope your school is going well, and anything to report in the wedding planning yet? take care, bye

Oh Me, Oh My...
I guess I haven't been a very faithful poster.. but I can always count on you to be consistent in your replies.
It sounds like you and I are both very very busy ladies... I have officially set the wedding date for January 13, 2002! I have my dress almost picked out.. here's the address if you would like to see it: http://www.martasbridal.com/DRESSES/...trios/2517.jpg
Actually, the top is the same, but the bottom is not so tulle-y, but more of a matte satin.. We made reservations for our honeymoon at Harrison Hotsprings. Have you been there? It's supposed to be really nice... I'm so excited!
Surprisingly, even though I haven't been really staying on plan too much, I've still lost some weight. But I really want to look good on my Wedding day. I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I'M GETTING MARRIED IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS!!! I've lived such a sheltered 19 and a half years and it seems insane that I will be marrying someone and depending on him and him on me. Not my parents anymore. It's both sad and exciting.. but too many emotions are inside me and I can't really focus on one. I think it would be easier if I had set the date from a year ago, but that just wasn't possible. This is just how things worked out, and I'm sure that God has a great plan for us....
Well, enough blabbering. Thanks for writing Angel!! Good luck with all the good-bye's... I'm dreading those myself in a couple of months... Let me know how everything goes ok?
((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))) ),
Nancy

WOW!!!! NOW THATS A DRESS!!!
Hi Gracenote. Let me tell you that......what a gorgeous bride you'll be in that dress!!! The sleeve detail is gorgous as is the 'corset'style bodice......FABULOUS!!! And you should be...as it is your day!! I remember my wedding day...(we celebrated 13 yrs on Oct 1) and what a day it was, such happy memories!! I purposely...took my watch off, so I wouldn't be watching the clock to make sure everything was on time. I let everyone else do that....lol and I also took my time walking down the isle. I looked at everyone as they turned to watch me walk down the isle. It was almost in slow motion.....as I said....such happy memories. And now?...turning the pages of a new chapter, the move to Charlotte, NC. My last day at work was today, and although sad to leave.....very happy and excited for the adventure!!! Hopefully if all goes well....we will be there in 2 weeks and move into our new house a few weeks after that on Dec 15th. HOpe your studies are going well.....studying etc....and you have a great Thanksgiving!!! take care, bye

*Cough, cough*
Hello? Hello? Hello?
Is anybody here? Is anybody here? Is anybody here?
Angel and anyone else reading this, how are you? Hope all is well...
Well, my wedding's coming up so soon!!! I just can't believe it. I'm finally going to be married to my best friend. I love him so much. Things are moving right along. I have my dress (Size 20 but too big ), I'm sending out the invitations this week, we found a basement suite and signed the papers on Monday, food is being made by friends and family, and BEST OF ALL... the wedding night hotel (Sheraton) and honeymoon (Harrison hot springs) have been reserved and I'm sooo excited. It will be the most rewarding vacation I've had, and boy will I deserve it! I am really stressed out. I know that 2 months is not a lot of time to plan a wedding, but we wanted to do it anyway. I still don't believe it....
I really would like to lose 10 more pounds before my wedding. I started exercising again this week.. and I know I can do it! 10 pounds will make a HUGE difference in the pictures and I will feel great... I weighed in this morning at 189 pounds.. so weighing in at 179 will be my THIN VISION!!
Angel, post back soon, I would love to hear from you!
~Gracenote
