Default Overcoming Inertia

I haven't exercised in 5 weeks.

There I said it.

Tonight, I did 10 songs on DDR at the difficulty I was doing with ease 5 weeks ago. It was killer. My legs are cramped and my stomach aches. I burned about 200 calories in 12 minutes.

I'm really looking forward to doing it again tomorrow.

I have to fight feelings of inertia all the time. Mainly it has to do with eating. I just don't feel like putting forth the effort to exercise enough self control to eat the way I I know I need to in order to lose weight. Some habits are harder to cultivate and maintain than others.

But recognizing this is part of the battle, I think.

I'm with y'all.

I *just* got back into exercising as vigorously as I did before. With it being colder now, it's getting more difficult. But when I see a loss (any loss, really) I'm encouraged to keep trying and to brave the cold weather. You just have to look for ways to get your exercise in and eat a lot without gaining in calories (fruits, soups and a big bowl of veggies).

Best of luck!
