I am real over stressed at work, and very very depressed about something. I so wanted to run down the street and get a sonic blast. I was driving down that way and drove right past it and said I have control over this one thing, eating and I was not going to sabatoge this.

I am so proud of myself.

Excellent, Beth! Those are the most difficult times to control, yet the most important.

A similar concept for me is this: when everything else in life seems to really stink, I can say, "yes, but I've lost 63 pounds. At least I have that!"

Yep, that is one thing you have control over. I have just now come to that and hope I can lose the rest of my weight 40 more pounds to go. Every pound is a proud moment

That's really great!! I too have been stressed lately and I haven't eaten to cope with it! Everytime I start to feel down I remind myself that I'm only 17lbs from my goal. It helps me to feel a little better. I'm so glad that you turned around, that takes a lot of will-power.
