Also living with hypothyroid and wanted to jump in here. I've been optimized on my medications ( T4 and T3 ) for years now and still couldn't lose. Well, actually I did...12 pounds in 18 months. It barely budged despite consistant diet, exercise and perserverence on my part. I complained to any and every doctor that would listen...none did. It was either my thyroid, my age or my fault.

I continued seeking help and finally found someone that tested me up and down, inside and out. I finally had a diagnosis of insulin resistance.

I've been on South Beach sinse January, exercise faithfully 1 hour each morning, 6 days per week, and work with weights 2. I've successfully lost 33 pounds to date...FINALLY!

Just wanted you to know that it may be your thyroid or it could be something else. Don't suffer needlessly too long...it couldn't hurt to get a good checkup to rule out ( or in ) something else.

Continued success to you along this journey of ours...

Susan
