Off the wagon, struggling to get back on!
I just thought I'd post that things have been really hard here with my youngest son and I have blown any control I have had to shreds.
Sometimes life just sucks. Any thoughts on how to motivate and get back on?? Thanks, Jen |
Well, you just have to think about all the things that you are going to be able to do once you get down to your goal weight. You'll be able to do more things with your family, you won't be so worn out at times...and the big one...you'll LIVE LONGER!
It's alright to stray a bit as long as you hop back on! And that's just what you gotta do!!! Think of how GOOD it feels on weigh-in day, and you see those numbers go DOWN! Think of all the compliments you will get for losing all this weight BY YOURSELF! |
well for me personally, i have to wiegh everyday to remind myself that i still have work to do!! otherwise i think its okay to "cheat" and really not that big of a deal. i am great at denial. haha.
That being said- i dont know exactly what will work for you- but here are some((hugs)) and best wishes!! you can do it! tell yourself you will "report" back to us every day. i'll give you a gold star for every day you stay on track! ;-) (hey it worked for us in 2nd grade, i figured what the heck) Good luck! |
hang in there!
I can understand where you are coming from. I had a few falls from the wagon myself. Just keep reminding yourself that you are worth it, and hang in there!

First, I would go through the kitchen and get rid of the tempting food that would trigger me to go off the wagaon. I would plan out healthy meals/snacks for the next 7 days (everyday, breakfast/lunch/dinner + at least 2 snacks a day). Go to the grocery store, buy everything you need to make those meals. Eat the healthy meals you planned.
Promise yourself a nice reward if you can follow through on that goal for one week. How about a nice pedicure or a massage? Then, set a goal for the next week. Planning saves me and has kept me on track. |
I have the same problem. I did so well for months. When my husband (long haul truck driver) decided to come off the road I was so happy. The problem is that I have a hard time sticking to my plans and schedules when he's here. In the past month I've gained back 8 pounds. It's so frustrating. I finally told him that he is going to have to deal with eating food my way and giving me some space so I can work on my excercise goals. He's not happy about it but he understands. Now I just have to learn to be concerned about my needs and not just his wants! So, I guess what I'm saying is that you have to demand support from others around you and you have to demand it from yourself as well. Maybe we can keep each other going!

Seriously, don't panic. Don't beat yourself up, it won't make you any thinner (trust me, I tried, I just ended up with bruises :dizzy: ) You can do it! Don't obsess about it, just do it. Make every bite a conscious one, make every step count. You deserve it! |
