You are not a pig at 241 you need a lot of food to get the calories your body thinks it needs. It is normal to be hungry a little when you start to cut back your caloric intake. But you should never feel really hungry. Eat 3 meals a day plus 2 snacks and try to include 3 ounces of protein with each meal.
I found when I started that if I ate something hot at snack time with a cup of green tea that it satisfied me more. I would also have a snack with protein in the afternoon around three as I felt more hungry at that time. I like to have 1/2 ounce of cheese with a cup of grapes, 4 graham crackers with 1 Tbls peanut butter, 1/2 ounce beef jerky with 1 ounce of pretzels, 2 cups salad with 1 ounce feta cheese, 1 cup of cooked broccoli with 1 Tbls parmesan cheese. I could go on and on....
Go to this site and put your information in that will give you a fairly accurate idea of how many calories you should be eating to maintain your weight, you then deduct 500 calories each day for each pound you want to lose, very simple. Never eat less than 1200 calories a day.
