Hi I am new and would like to know if there are any chat rooms or do we just keep posting threads?

I haven't ever seen a chat room here - I just post whereever I see something interesting. Are you looking for any particular group?

We have a chat room, but it's rarely used. Some of the groups will organize a date and time for a chat, then they have fun with it. If no one has one scheduled, then it's pretty lonely in there. The chat link is in the far right of the purple menu bar. Most people prefer the forums.
