I also started at about 260. I didn't realize it was such a "popular" number! Welcome to 3FC, Cinnamonspice. Losing those stealth 50 pounds can be done, though honestly I was a bit doubtful of that when I started. You're certainly in the right place to get information and encouragement.

The shock of seeing 261 on the scale when I went to my first Weight Watcher meeting still haunts me. It's funny that even having to buy a 3X didn't bother me as much as seeing that number. I'm glad, however, that I'm now a size 12.

Just think--this time next year you'll be happy to step on that scale!!

I know the feeling. Two years ago I weighed at 232.. but I took a glance at it and didn't believe it was true because a year before I was 179 and the highest I had ever been was 210. Even back in August (when I first tried to diet) I weighed myself on one of those dial scales and it told me 260.. I couldn't believe it! After that I went out and bought a digital.. and it told me 273.5! I was shocked at how I let the weight creep on without realizing it. I've came to my senses and studied up on how to reach a healthy life. You really do have to take it a day at a time (at least I do!)
