I had a bit of a setback last weekend at a party and was on the verge of blowing it this week till I slapped myself upside the head and said "cut it out!"
The thing that got me back on track was journaling EVERYTHING in my on-line food diary
. I was way over my daily calorie limit
, but not as bad as I thought it would be. I told myself that all was not lost - in order to gain a pound I'd have to eat an extra 3,500 calories
. I was tempted to NOT record the extra calories - just forget about it - but I needed to remind myself that I was on a journey where I will have ups and downs and need to face my weaknesses.
We're going to need all the help we can get with the holidays coming up. Do you have any tips on getting "psyched up" and back on track after a binge?
