Starting Over

,I lost 20 pounds. Then stress piled up (moving, going to new school, not living the way we used to,etc).I walk more now,but I've been surprised at the amounts of food I eat.I eat large desserts, ice cream, have seconds, have lots of soda, and am hooked on potato chips.I have gained 10 pounds or more.I saw the new weight back where I lived before. Now I don't have a scale, but I can tell that I'm getting fatter. My double chin is larger, and the saggy arm skin is filling up.I no longer have that thin feeling.I saw my face in the mirror and it is just so round.

I'll be getting rid of the ticker in my signature.I can't weigh myself anyways.Instead,I'll measure my success on how I feel and how I look.

I feel terrible.Sometimes I feel like if my double chin doesn't allow me to breathe as well.

Anyways, just telling you all this because I'm back for good!I'll be posting some more and try to help people with their own weight loss.

I'm going to go for 140 or 130 pounds, even if I can't weigh myself at the moment. But when I can weigh myself again, that's my goal. :)

Glad to be back again!

It sounds like you know what to do! Keep the faith and don't be so hard on yourself. Keep posting and reading, IMO it's a big motivation - at least you know you are NOT alone!

Glad you're back! A lot of folks here know what it's like to lose and then gain again. I sure do. One thing I learned is that some foods can't be in the house. Such as potato chips, ice cream. If they aren't there, I can't eat them. This is the only sure way I know to not eat more of some foods than I should.

Remember, no one is force feeding you. The hand that puts it in your mouth is yours.

I just wanted to say hello and welcome you back. I agree with JayEll you might need to stop buying the stuff that you love and crave for a while. I t might be hard in the beginning but once you start it will get easier. Good luck.

Maybe you could find alternatives to the things you crave so much, but eat less. For instance, if we have ice cream in the house, I can eat half a carton easily (the big cartons too lol)... so I started buying sherbet for us...as my husband really likes it but I can take it or leave it -- so now when I do choose to have something cold and sweet, I am much more able to have a normal portion of that...

Good luck!
