Default Very scared!

Tomorrow is the day I weigh myself. I haven't done it in at least a month and I know I've gained some weight. I figured my boss will be in town so it's going to be a crappy day anyway, so why not get all the bad things out in one day! I realize I have to do it so I can see all the progress I've made later....right

Just think of it as a starting point. Then you'll feel good about every improvement you make.

Yes! Think of it as the First Day! You start Now ! Now you know what you weigh and you work from there...No use thinking about where you could have been or how much you've gained... This is it!!!! Go 4 it Pat!

It also helps to keep a journal of how your feeling right now.
looking back at mine it could have read the same. Little scared but ready to change my life.
I am pretty surprised at how I described how I felt about myself when I began my life change and im glad because that will show me always that I dont want to feel that way again. That I need to keep working at this.
Before pics are also a good motivational tool to throw in that journal.
But you need to remember these feelings so you understand what you are working on and why. I would include my measurements in the journal so when that scale is not moving you will see results in other areas that you are showing improvements in when that scale doesnt want to talk back to you.

Journaling is a good idea. I write down my measurements weekly, then do a comparison each month. It helps.

But think of it this way: Why are you scared? Is there a little voice inside of you telling you that you've been a bad girl? Tell that voice to put a sock in it.
Decide that you want to do this because YOU want to do this, not because some voice from your past tells you you won't beo be a "good girl" or be "perfect" or something. Do it because this is what you would like. Start today. And if you have bad days, that's okay. You haven't failed as a person. This is not a morals problem. This is a problem based on biochemistry, and you can find a solution that will work for you! Tell those scared feelings to go take a hike!

OK, so I checked the weight, and it's about where I thought it was. I have 45lbs to lose. I've done the journal before and I always stop once I jump off the wagon. I need to have some kind of disciplin(sp) in my life and see this thru. It's hard to find the continued motivation. However, I think I will do better now because I quit drinking. I have a problem with beer - I love it way too much and when I drink I eat a lot and don't exercise. But I haven't drank in 2 weeks and I've started working out again. So I'm headed in the right direction, I just need to stay focused. That's why I'm here.
