Post Any grapefruit diet success’ out there.

Any grapefruit diet success’ out there.

I have decided to try this since many of my family members have had such great success with it. I do have a few questions though.
What type of work out plan should one use to accompany the diet?
The diet posts a list of what to eat and what not to eat. So can I have a two-egg omelet with and red onions, bell peppers and tomatoes, along with the bacon and juice of course, for breakfast?
Would a chicken creaser salad (won’t forget the juice!) be a sufficient lunch or dinner meal?
I probably should not have croutons with my salad, should I?
The diet says to take 2 days off. Does this mean I can, eat pizza, pasta even bread, what about drink beer or soda?
Finally, I have yet to hear any horror stories about cholesterol skyrocketing, I have only heard good things from people very close to me that I trust.
Are there any side effects to this plan?
Please share your personal experiences with me.

The way I see it, any diet that guarantees you 52 pounds lost in just 2 1/2 months is not a safe or healthy diet and I'd personally steer clear of it. Even if cholesterol levels are good, there's no telling what kind of damage it can do. Not to mention that a drop that rapidly is less likely to stay off. They're talking a 5+ pound a week loss. Most people only lose around 2 pounds a week.

About the more than 2 lb loss a week... Your body, unless you are super morbidly obese, will not let go of more than 2 lbs or so of fat a week. It starts to panic and then it will give up its muscle in place of its fat. That is why someone who has 100 lbs or less to lose, should aim at 1-2 lbs a week loss.

About Grapefruit - Grapefruit is a natural appetite suppresant. If you want to go on a "grapefruit" diet, aim at eating a low fat/low processed carbs diet with eating an actual grapefruit before or as part of some of your meals.

Also this website has some humor in allowing you Mayonnaise and saying "hence the name, the Mayo diet". Just a side note, the Mayo clinic diet is some diet someone came up with and attributed it to the mayo clinic, even though it didn't come from the Mayo clinic.
